I see. I didnt know that you can't apply via online application if you have already taken and passed the exam. Good thing I just went with the paper application because that's more reliable for me. So you did the manual fingerprint? Hmm.. It usually takes longer for them to verify it though. Let's just hope it does not..

Hi everyone, I just moved here to LA from the Philippines and I was wondering how do I get to start my career here as Hemodialysis Nurse. I already took the NCLEX and passed in 2010. However, I was not able to provide the CA BRN was social since I don't have one that time. Long story short, I now have my social security number and re-submitted all the documents that were requested by the BRN. So now, I'm just waiting for the Certificate and my license to be issued to me. I've been working as a dialysis nurse in the Philippines for 3+ years. My questions are: 1. Do dialysis centers or hospitals here consider work experience from a foreign country? if yes, did they look for your Certification or ID as renal nurse? (I was not a certified renal nurse back home because the institution that I used to work to did not require us). 2. Do I need to get a certification here as Hemodialysis Nurse so that employers will consider on hiring me? If yes, were do I get that? Do employers hire nurses without certification? 3. Do I need to get BLS/ACLS certification before I even apply for a dialysis nurse position? Hope anyone could help me with my inquiries. I know I don't have my license yet, but I don't wanna waste time waiting. I just wanted to know these information so I will have a head start on my career. Hi again, may I ask what method you used for your application? Did you use the online or the paper application? So your fingerprint are still for verification? I heard it takes about 2 weeks for the fbi and doj to verify them. The waiting is really a pain.haha

Hi there! You're lucky that the BRN already cashed your payment. I sent my app packet earlier than yours but my payment havent cleared yet. Atleast now youre just waiting for your name to appear on breeze. I just hope my app will be processed asap. Likewise to you.

You go to CA BRN website. Click APPLICATIONS, under that click EXAM then on top it says CLICK HERE FOR OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING APPLICATION.. After it opens it says on top "CURRENT INFORMATION REGARDING APPLICATION".. Its right there..

I see. I checked the website a few days ago and saw that the applications whose fees cashed in May are the one's theyre processing at the moment. So i think, its going to take a while before they process ours. Lets just keep our hopes up and pray harder ?

That's a relief that i dont need to call them. I've sent so many inquiries thru emails, mails and phone calls but not luck with their reply. So i just sent them the documents as what my friend from PH told me to do. Was there no additional requirements you needed to send for your endorsement? Btw, did you get your license in NY? Thats good news for us that we can still make use of our nclex exam even after the expiry date. Anyway, im in los angeles.

Hi winel, yes i just came here a few months ago.yeah, that is actually worrying me because i already sent them my application packet before I even read these threads so i wasnt aware of it. I graduated from the university of nueva caceres in bicol. How about you? Did you call the CA BRN before you sent them the documents? Is there a need to call them still even after sending them the app? I guess i need to send my school that form just to make sure. Thanks for the reply btw
