  1. Not applying until next year, but it seems they've changed the process since I've been following. Thanks for the update. Good luck all!!
  2. Run and don't look back. It's a for profit school. Southwest is only 4 semesters. Nothing but bad stories from Concorde and their students struggle to past the NCLEX after multiple attempts.
  3. What area of Tennessee. Makes a big difference
  4. Hi ladies and gents newly accepted. Along with the Southwest Nursing.....please add our class page. I've created a group in which we can talk amongst ourselves...about assignments, the process, etc. The group is private. https://www.facebook.com/groups/807521272641066/807521275974399/?notif_t=like We can put a face to the name! Apparently, we will be spending a lot of time together. Can't wait to meet yal. We're all in this together c/o Fall 2016.
  5. https://m.facebook.com/groups/220416484711549?ref=bookmark Here's the link. Everyone has been so nice, helpful, and realistic.
  6. Congrats everyone can't wait to meet you ladies and gents. :yes:If you have facebook go join the Southwest Nursing page. People have tons of tips, books for sale, and advice. Nursing students from the past and present...great resource to wrap your head around our impending journey. Whoopwhoop Class of Fall 2016
  7. Keep hope alive!!! We can't control when they tell us, but can chill and relax before the "fun" begins!! Visit as many happy hours and friends as possible before we are (hopefully) consumed in studies
  8. Thanks sooo much. I'll definitely take your advice on that! I've already planned a family vacation for a couple days after exam season, just in case I do get in. I'm sure it's rough and will need to make up for lost time. Thanks for your input. Good Luck on becoming a clinical instructor. It would be really cool to learn from others whom shared your same journey previously.
  9. Hi nikkih901. Would you mind sharing your 1st semester experience if you did the night/weekend program. Is there anything that stands out that you wish you would have known before hand? Did you work, have family responsibilities, etc? Your input is greatly appreciated, Thanks.
  10. Great thanks for the update. When I spoke with Mrs. L weeks ago she jokingly said she would love for us to know before Thanksgiving. That way we could inform our families that school books, equipment, etc would make good Christmas gifts. If nothing else..........based on past boards, I assume we are the most inpatient group thus far :) My index is Mid 60's but doesn't truncate the anxiety at all.
  11. Hey how do you know the decision has been made? Also the secretary is out all week.
  12. No I haven't heard anything yet on acceptance. Hopefully soon.
  13. Oh and a durable pen light. Of course all of these things will be offered for sale there, but I'm sure it's cheaper to buy everything else where.
  14. No there is no color required for that or the blood pressure cuff. My scope is orange being UT Alumna I couldn't pass it up lol. The shoes must be all white with closed back. I asked the guy I bought my books from. Unless something has changed I'm going with that.
