  1. Congratulations lady! All the waiting was so worth it!
  2. I think it's good to be prepared for the worst case scenario but hope for the best outcome. It's a little cliche but works in this case.
  3. It does mean more waiting, but hopefully you will get in. Best of luck CTN91!!!!
  4. Hey alternate list is better than denial!
  5. Apparently I wasn't competitive enough for NHCC so ARCC here I come! Who's coming with me at Coon Rapids?
  6. Holy Schnikees, @Herbie06! Nice work!! Why aren't they sending things out in a timely manner, that's very annoying.
  7. @HMN123 and @Herbie06, what were your scores? Congratulations to both of you!
  8. Nothing from NHCC for me - hopefully tomorrow!
  9. Congrats HMN123! I can't get home soon enough to check the mail!
  10. Thank you, CTN91! I hope you get your mail soon!!!
  11. Anyone hear anything? Anxiously trying to get through the day until I can get home and check the mail for anything from NHCC.
  12. I know that feeling all too well! Just breathe and you will be home before you know it!
  13. Sure, 10.93 at ARCC and a little higher at NHCC. And yes mine told me Coon Rapids. I don't know what determines which campus you are assigned.
  14. I got an acceptance letter from ARCC today so you might get yours today. And if I got in with my scores, I'm sure you all got in! Now just to hear from NHCC to make my decision. Omg...i have been applying to schools for 5 years! Finally!
  15. Thank you for all the updates everyone, I have been refreshing this page all day! I applied to ARCC and NHCC and cannot wait to hear from them! Congratulations to all of the applicants who were accepted!
  16. GPA - 3.6 and TEAS - 80% = 11.6 total. I forget the breakdown of my actual percentages of each area of the TEAS. But, I feel like I am an expert in applying to MN RN programs and I am fully aware of everything you are saying, but thank you! Yes it is competitive, but I just read on here that someone got into the exact program I was applying for for Spring 2015 with a score of 11.0. Her GPA and TEAS score both less than mine and I still didn't get in. I got wait-listed, but still didn't get in. Whatever, it's the school's loss because I would have added to their high NCLEX pass rate. I will just keep applying, I guess. That's all I can do right?
  17. I am an LPN in Minnesota with over 4 years of experience. Currently work in a specialty care outpatient clinic and also work on-call for a pediatric home care company. Originally went to a 4 year university out of high school (Pre-med major), but struggled with the pace and class sizes and was advised to check out nursing programs (come from a family of nurses) and went to Saint Paul College and graduated with an Associate's degree in Practical Nursing. I am struggling because I have been applying to many RN programs and cannot seem to get in anywhere. Recently enrolled in Presentation College for their online LPN-BSN program, but with their "conditional" accreditation they received, I am hesitant to spend a lot of money if they end up losing their accreditation by chance. Did not get into round 1 of MANE program and was wait-listed in Round 2, but not accepted. Am I alone? It's not like I have a bad record. I did have 1 bad semester at the university, but I took charge and left and thrived in a community college setting. But, my prerequisite grades are good and my TEAS score is very good. Still no one wants me. Does anyone else feel like they are never going to be an RN? I am even looking at Bachelor programs online just so I can keep continuing my education instead of just constantly applying and feeling like a failure. I am not in nursing for the money, I feel like I was put on this earth to be a nurse and I love what I do. But, I can't be apart of the future of health care without an advanced degree or as an LPN, at least not within our company. I have big goals and dreams, but I feel like they may never come true without an RN license. I am not built for inpatient or a high powered job, I am made for a care coordinator or manager and that's what I love to do. Sorry, end rant. I hope I am not the only one who feels like this.
  18. I have been put on the reconsideration list at NHCC (mobility) and have accepted to be put on the list. I am hoping your statement is true this time around. I NEED to get in. Anxiously awaiting a response...
