  1. I started at San Jac college when my baby was 3 months old and still having my 12 year old. I was 30 years old when I began my first semester of pre reqs. I had already been out of high school for 12 year and had never been to college. Now I'm in chamberlain at 32 years old and I can tell you it is possible. Is it easy? Of course not, but it's all about time management and motivation. You can absolutely do it.
  2. Yes of course! What do you need help with?
  3. Anytime, if you have any additional questions feel free to message me anytime.
  4. I did have 40 credit hours transfer over with no problem. The only thing with HCC is that chamberlain didn't accept their Nutrition course bc it didn't have a nurse component. I've heard this from every HCC student. I transferred from San Jac so mine took.
  5. I just started at their pearland location and so far I am enjoying it. No program is perfect, but I feel this is where I'm suppose to be. My GPA going in was a 3.2, I did well on the HESI except for the chemistry part. I barely passed with a 75.
  6. Thank you all very much
  7. I got the same email. AH! The torture. I guess we just have to wait and see. Thanks for responding.
  8. did you all apply for north or central campus? I applied for Central when they extended the deadline. Wondering if anyone has heard anything yet.
  9. I am nervous about the science portions of the HESI. For those who have taken the exam, What study guide do you feel is best to study for those sections? Or if any one knows what worked for others. Anything will help.
  10. GREAT!!! So glad i could help. Hope to see ya at orientation 😊
  11. no problem, I am emailing you everything now.
  12. Yes you should def go speak to them. The email had a lot of information about things we need to take to orientation, and deadlines for other things we need to submit before class starts. I also got an email today, I'd hate for you to miss any of this info.
  13. The days are july 16th and july 17th (thursday & friday) from 8am-12pm. The letter says you must bring your letter of intent, a copy of your id or DL and a copy of your ss card in order to confirm your position for the program. If you didnt get the email, I can forward you the letter of intent and instructions of what we need to take for orientation.
  14. I GOT ACCEPTED ALSO!!!!! Yay us. I got the email a few days after we took the HESI. How exciting. Are you ladies going to orientation this week?
  15. CONGRATS!!!!!! ME TOO!!! ME TOO!!!! I got my acceptance letter via email about a week after we took the HESI! Yay...... we are going to be classmates
  16. For those who have already taken the HESI, do you have to memorize all the conversions? Or do you get a chart on the particular problem as a guide?
  17. I am just curious, How long has it taken you (or will it take you) to finish your pre-reqs to be able to apply for the RN program? In the Fall it will be a year that I enrolled into college and I will be finishing my final pre-req, I feel that was too long.
  18. Oh i gotcha. Thank you so much, you have been so so sooo helpful. Last question, how long did it take for the results of your titers to come in?
  19. Oh I know where that clinic is at too. When you got your titers how many days did it take for you to get your results back? What is the backgroundcheck.com ? Goodness it's so many things to keep up with haha.
  20. I probably should of mentioned that I live in Houston, Tx haha. Thank you both very much. I didn't even think to consider CVS.
  21. I have 2 weeks until the application deadline for the LVN program I am trying to apply to. I am 30 years old (ah) and I'm having the hardest time finding a place where I can get all the vaccinations. Places I find are only for infants and adolescents. Any ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I take my last pre requisite in the fall. I'm not sure what my next step should be. I was thinking of taking my HESI as soon as the semester was over, and then start taking my immunizations also in the fall. What do you recommend or what was your whole process. I don't know anyone in the field or who has done this so the process is very intimidating.
  23. That is WONDERFUL news! Congratulations. Did you apply for the 2015 Fall semester? I have soooo many questions if your are willing them to answer them for me. It is so hard to get emails and phone calls back from the department.
