Heel slipping in nursing clogs
Thank you for all the feedback! I put them on to check and there's definitely not enough room for 2 fingers. And it is only the heel lifting rather than my whole foot coming out. I think I'm just not used to them yet. I'll keep wearing them around the house. I don't start school until next month so perhaps I can work on my grace heheh

Heel slipping in nursing clogs
I don't think t they're too big. Only my heel slips up and down. The rest of my foot stays in place and I really don't think I could go smaller.

Heel slipping in nursing clogs
THanks! I'm going to try that and wear them on our carpet a bit to see if I can become a bit more graceful! hehe Admittedly, I'm not terribly graceful to begin with so I'll be sure to set the bar nice and low.

Heel slipping in nursing clogs
Yup, they're the style BloomNurseRN posted. I know they're supposed to slip in the heel, I'm more or less wondering if it takes some time to get used to. I put them on and I'm walking very awkwardly in them - clomping a bit. Qteapi - these are closed back. I checked beforehand to make sure they're approved for my program.

Heel slipping in nursing clogs
Total newbie here. I'm starting my nursing program next month and just got a pair of sanitas clogs recommended to me by a midwife friend. they fit nicely but the heel slips off with every step. I looked up reviews and it seems that's SUPPOSED to happen. My question is, will I ever get used to walking in them and look like a professional or am I destined to always look like a drunk, stumbling along in them? I don't want to wear them in the hopes of getting used to them only to find that I never do and should have returned them for something else. Thanks!

Mom and Nursing Student: What should I do? How should I do this?
It sounds like you really want to be a nurse so I would say you should go for it. Only you can know if NOW is the right time though. I'm starting nursing school in August with 3 children, although mine are a bit older (9, 6 and 2). I'm planning now and preparing for all the extra work by freezing meals, working out childcare for busy studying times, and setting up a designated study area. You may have to think about your support network and decide if there is anything you're doing now that you could hand off to someone else or let go for the time being. Good luck with your decision!

Mom of 4 - can I handle nursing school?
I'm in a similar position. I have 3 boys (2, 6, and 9). I've been home with them and a military wife, traveling all over. I'm starting nursing school in August and feeling pretty confident about it. I feel so much more equipped this time around. When I went to college the first time, I didn't really know what I wanted to do so I just picked something. I did fine, but now I'm much more focused on my goal and have a better 'toolbox'. I think if you truly want to be a nurse, and have a good network of family and friends to help you juggle your home and personal life, you'll be able to find a way to make it happen. I definitely have some of those demon thoughts too. But I keep telling myself that I will find a way to make it work and it will be worth it in the end! Good luck!

Nursing school with young kids
We've used care.com in the past with great luck. Start 2-3 months early so you can interview several nannies and have them come out for a few hours to get to know the kids.
