Nursing school with young kids
I have no family who would be able to come help me. As far as my friends, they all work. They could help me if they didnt work but even then they would be able to help me only for 1 day if my nanny didnt show up. But on a daily basis no one is available among my friends to help me. But I dont want to quit now and not apply to nursing school. Its so hard when you have a travelling husband...I am practically a single mom running the show.

Nursing school with young kids
Thanks you all for your advice. I dont have family in the same state and the others won't be able to come help me either. So it is pretty much me and the kids since my husband travels. I have no idea how much is the cost of hiring a nanny. I have heard good and bad things about care.com and sittercity.com

Nursing school with young kids
Hello, I will be starting nursing school Fall 2016. My kids will be 4.5 and 8.5. My husband travels a lot so I cannot depend on him. I am stressed out trying to come up with a plan for my kids. I know I cant drop them at 6 am or earlier at a day care . So my next best option would be to hire a nanny who came 5 days a week from 6 am to 6 pm or then hire a full time live in nanny. But I dont know how to find a good and reliable one whom I can trust with my kids. I plan on doing BSN nursing which is 2 years so I have to be at class for4 days a week. I so badly want to do nursing and dont feel like quitting now. I have only A& P 2 left to take but the class timings are just not suitable to me right now so I decided to take A & P 2 in Spring 2016 and apply for fall 2016. Please tell me how should I go about the nanny option. Thanks so much for you advice and support.

Emory school of Nursing Atlanta GA
Hi, I am starting the pre requisites for nursing very soon. I would like to pursue the bachelors in nursing at Emory in Atlanta GA since I will have to stay in Georgia. I want to get into Emory so bad and I am willing to do everything that it would take me to do. Will it help if I were to do some volunteer work in an hospital while doing my prerequisites? They may just give me the job as a greeter or in the gift shop. I have to get into this school since I would like to do the Masters in nursing too and being a CRNP and eventually an An anesthetist. What else ca I do to get through the bachelors program at Emory? I have a masters in business but I have studied in India, my bachelors from India is a 3 year degree and therefore here they also include the 1st year of Masters to calculate my undergraduate GPA. My undergraduate GPA was not very good since in my First year I did not do well, did not work hard and hence although my masters GPA is 3.5 , that 1 bad undergrad year has brought down my undergrad GPA to 2.8. I am going to try my best to do extremely well in my prerequisites for nursing but I am now married and have a child too. My low undergrad GPA cannot ne changed but what can I do so that Emory will give me an admission and overlook my undergrad GPA. I know I have to take the toefl. Will it help if I take the GRE too? What is the minimum GPA that they need for the bachelors in nursing? What if I do not have the required GPA? They also have a BSN-MSN segue option. WIll I stand a better chance to get into with the BSN option or the BSN MSN segue option? Thanks M
