  1. Hi Krissy, I just got accepted into the Nursing program. When did you graduate? How was clinicals at the local hospital ?
  2. Hi Tillie22: The Hybrid is online lectures. You go to the campus for exams and labs if I'm not mistaken. Applying to GSW is not a bad idea. However if you already attend Darton and comfortable with the faculty and campus thus far, it may be a good idea to just stay at Darton and do their program. When it comes to changing schools, you never really know what its like until..well...you get there..and by then its too late to turn back. Best Wishes!!! P.S. Have you gotten accepted into either program?
  3. Anyone got their acceptance letters yet? I'm in there. Thank God!
  4. Hi everyone! I have been accepted into the Evening-Track Program. I reside in Albany so I wont be traveling far. Super-excited and eager for January. Best Wishes everyone. I look forward to meeting everyone in January.
  5. Hi Nicole614. Thank you so much for your support! Unfortunately I wont be attending UAB. They said all I needed was a Nutrition Course to satisfy the prerequisite courses and the one that my current school offers.... was not equivalent. Consequently, I dropped the course considering that it was not required for the Nursing Program in Ga. A month later, UAB contacted me explaining that although the Nutrition course is not equivalent, it was sufficient for the program. At that time it was too late for me to pick the course back up. So due to the lack of organization and all the other hassles they put me through, I decided to stay in Georgia and attend a Nursing School here. I just got my acceptance letter last week. I am super excited and eager to get started in January! I could elaborate on the other hassles UAB put me through, but in the end I believe it all worked out for my good. Best Wishes in the Nursing Program!!!!
  6. Hi Congrats on passing the Teas. I took the TEAS on Oct. 3rd as well and I passed. However my math section was below average and I'm wondering if Darton looks at the breakdown of your scores as well when making a decision?
  7. Hi I applied at Darton for the Nursing Program 2015. I just took the TEAS last Friday and I passed. Have you taken your TEAS yet?
  8. Hi bama14 congrats on getting into the program! I am also applying to Uab 2015 amnp. I am afraid of getting accepted but not being able to attend because of out of state expenses as an out of state grad student. How did you overcome the out of state fees and cost of living expenses. Also do you know any students that were able to get a job as a Rn after the 1st year. How does clinics/ hospitals view an applicant with an rn but no bsn or degree yet? Thank you so much for your time.
  9. Hi I am also applying for uab amnp any suggestions for an out of state student.
  10. Hi I am applying to UaB for the Amnp 2015 as an out of state student any tips on receiving grad loans and affordable cost of living expenses. I really hate to find out after I'm accepted if I am that I still can't attend because of the expense. Thanks for your time.
  11. Hi ms. Jensen , I am applying to the Uab 2015. How are you enjoying the program thus far ? Are you an out of state student? Thanks for your time
  12. Hi I live in Georgia. I am applying to the Amnp at Uab for Jan 2015. Does anyone know how to go about receiving sufficient grad funds as an out of state student? I would love to hear from someone who is applying to the program as an out of state student or simply have detailed suggestions. How can i get enough funds to pay tuition and living expenses. Thanks for your time.
