  1. Hey, I'm currently attending Keiser University-KU as a student. I initially applied to attend their BSN program, but my scores for the TEAS was unacceptable for KU!! I have met their pre-reqs requirements all I had left to do was past the TEAS to be considered! and I have taken the TEAS twice already. The first time I took the TEAS I did not pass any of the four sections The second time I took the TEAS I only pass the science section according to KU's requirement scores to get in their AS/BSN programs. Now I'm told I have to wait four months before I can take the TEAS again and it will be a different version of the TEAS.. which now I also have to include additional timing for taking the TEAS again and wait to re-apply for their nursing program. I've been doing a lot of research.. I previously got many credits and classes completed from the previous schools I attended before transferring to KU. I got most of my pre-reqs done at a community college. I'm interested in transferring to another university. And so far I meet their requirements for my scores on the TEAS exam, but I don't know yet how many credits will transfer over and how many classes I would have to complete for their pre-reqs for their bachelors to apply for their BSN program. It may take me a semester or two before I can apply to their nursing program. I guess either way it goes is timing and money. I've been trying so hard to make it into a nursing program and I keep getting road blocked. When I add up the time with of some of the schools I'm thinking of applying to my timing seems to average the same just maybe a few months add or take away depending on the school.
  2. Yes the hospital setting is better than Nursing home by pay, the environment and sometimes the amount of work you will be doing. I think you should do your CNA because it'll give you a step up as experience for the future which is also what I'm planning to do btw. So if you can do it, try.
  3. Need help!! Anybody with advice or suggestions since I am currently trying to find & do research on some schools that have high passing rates for the NCLEX or are potentially good nursing schools or colleges in Florida preferably south Florida.. So I can see where I can also do my nursing degree besides Miami Dade College. I'm trying to keep my options open before finishing my Pre-reqs so I don't do the waiting game on one option.
  4. There are so many nursing apps in the app store you will be amazed. It also depends on what area you want to focus on with some of them. There are testing apps, quiz apps, medication-flashcards Apps, fun games, OB--cardio--A&P whatever the subject. And if your worried about the cost There are many apps that are free and many of the apps that are free you can buy if you wanted more features and stuff.
  5. Aww these stories are touching? You guys make me want to have a family, but i'm still young and education is key right now. So i'm going to leave this topic before I have any ideas.
