  1. Yes I'm currently in a five semester program. We are using "Introduction to Maternity and Pediatric Nursing: Edition 7" by Gloria Leifer
  2. Hello all!! I currently just made it into my third term and I've learned so much along the way. This term I will be studying IV Therapy & Maternity/Pediatric Nursing. Clinicals have been OK so far but I'm looking forward to giving meds this term & doing so much more. I will be finished my program in the beginning of 2017! I have two terms left until I graduate! I'm looking forward to becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. :)
  3. Hello all!! I'm into my second week of the LPN program and I'm loving it so far. My teachers are awesome and I've been learning so much within these past few weeks. On the first day of class I received my scrubs & text books! I was sooo excited to wear my scrubs to class the next day.. haha. So the classes that I'm currently taking are Anatomy & Physiology, English, Growth & Development, Med Math , Computer tech for LPNs and Personal & Professional Relationship 1. I love all of my classes but I was a bit worried about my Med Math class because math isn't my strongest subject . But the information has been pretty basic so far. Alot of dvision & multiplication . Dosage calculations & conversions etc. I'm learning and getting better with memorizing the conversions. I honestly don't know why I expected the math class to be sooo much harder than what it is. Lol but this week has gone extremely well and I'm just looking forward to my Anatomy test on Saturday, which I'm studying for right now. Anatomy is and has always been one of my favorite classes. OK I didn't plan on writing this much!! Sorry lol , I have to go but congrats to all the future LPNs who are currently starting school!!! Good Luck to you all and thanks for all the comments on my previous post!
  4. I feel the exact same way!!!! I get anxiety just thinking about math sometimes. I've never really been good at math AT ALL . I've always tried avoiding careers that involved any serious math . Just recently I started my LPN program and to be honest, I felt extremely discouraged in my math class ; I felt so left behind. But once I got home , something just clicked in my head and I told myself that I've always wanted to be a Nurse and I'll do whatever it takes to achieve my goal. I'm constantly studying & practicing. It can become overwhelming at times but try to stay positive, it definitely helps!! Good luck!!
  5. That's great! Congrats & good luck!!!
  6. Hello!! I used the "ATI (Teas V) Study Manual". I believe it cost $50.00 and you can order the study manual from ATI Testing | Nursing Education | NCLEX Exam Review | TEAS Testing .
  7. Hello guys! I've been MIA for a while now but ok i had to come here and express my joy..lol! I recently decided to apply to an LPN program and I was extremely nervous about taking the teas test, so i studied..studied...studied. Andddd i passed the test! I was sooooo relieved and i can't wait to start this new journey! I'll keep you guys posted!
