  1. I cannot wait to be a nurse. I have been in surgical sales for 20 plus years and work in scrubs and always called "DOC". I would rather be a nurse who has compassion, ethics, and affinity for patients and their families. Nurses are GREAT!
  2. Do not ever give up! Get motivated, get obsessed with being a nurse. Do not let anyone tell you its hard, you can't do it. My philosophy is if any man or woman did it, then I can do it! Good Luck and Keep at it!
  3. Happy Nurses week! Thank you for caring for us all through wars and everyday life. Bless you!
  4. Mike, If your heart tells you to do it and it feels right, then do it! I am in the same shoes, 47, highly educated in business etc, and pursuing my RN then off to MSN. Life is too short to second guess your aspirations to want to help people. Best of Luck to you! Tex
  5. Thanks Dewman! I am currently in NJ and looking to GET OUT after school, so anywhere south of NJ will do just fine. I have some contacts in homecare and the Select Specialty facilities in MD, and VA and I am thinking that might be my first and only opportunity after graduation.
  6. I am currently a student at a Community college seeking the RN. My experience is in medical surgical sales and business, so this is all new to me. I am motivated and excited about getting into the patient care area and was wondering what is the best place to seek out my first job? Acute Care, Long Term care, Homecare etc.? Constructive advice is always welcome!
  7. How difficult is it for new RN grads to find work?
