BCIT Nursing January 2015 Applicants
Hi Chiseen! I've added my BCIT email to my fb account but the group still isn't showing up when I search. Maybe you could PM me? =) Regarding the questionnaire, as far as I remember, I'd consider them similar to interview-like questions and the links they provided to prepare for them had more than enough info to give you an idea of what they may ask. There was also a 90-minute time limit and a 250 word limit, I guess to help simulate an actual interview and force you to be concise. I believe the other threads said about the same things so hopefully I'm not giving too much away =). When I asked about the marks from the questionnaire before, they told me most people scored between 70-80 (not sure if that meant percent) but ya! there's not that big of a range so I think most people do pretty well. Try not to stress too much, reflect on some of your own past experiences, keep calm, and just do it! Good luck! Also, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

BCIT Nursing January 2015 Applicants
Hi and congrats to everyone shortlisted and accepted! yes I also did the shortlist questionnaire for last Aug 2014. I was expecting to do it again (as I was told) but it's a pleasant surprise that I don't have to! I was on the waitlist for the August intake but also just finished my biology degree in August and graduate in November, so starting in January is perfect. I'm excited to meet everyone! All the best =)

Starting the applications for 2012!
Hello glim06, This might sound creepy, but I saw a few of your posts from other threads and how you're from vancouver but attended UofC for Nursing... I was just wondering if you could give me a bit of advice or feedback on your experience since I'm wanting to apply for the BSN degree holder route in Calgary and I'm also from vancouver, just finishing my BSC in Biology at UBC. I'm just wondering if you found the adjustment really hard and whether you thought that the program was good or if it prepared you enough. I'm also planning to apply to BCIT here in vancouver, but UofC is appealing to me for other personal reasons. Any insights would be extremely helpful! Thanks!

BCIT August 2014 Applicants
Hi chiseen, any luck finding out what number you are on the waitlist? Did you call previously? Cuz when I called they said I had to email the nursing department so I just tried that lol. I also want to try asking whether we could find out how we did on our questionnaire/ if they marked it by points. I'm sort of leaning towards wanting to start in January anyways since I finish my degree this august and my final would be the week before the program starts lol.

BCIT August 2014 Applicants
Hi chiseen, did they actually tell you that they didn't start ranking the waitlist yet? I was under the impression that it's probably already ranked, but that they wouldn't be informing us our place on the waitlist.

BCIT August 2014 Applicants
Hi BestUsernameEver, I got placed on the hold-list and my status still says "pending department review" I'm not sure if everyone in the hold-list was contacted yet either since I just got the email around 5pm Friday which is close to the end of office hours. I think the best thing to do would be to call them tomorrow if you still don't get an email and your status doesn't change. Good luck!

BCIT August 2014 Applicants
oh ic, ya I meant the myBCIT account. Basically the email said the August2014 class is full and that we're on the hold-list. If someone withdraws, then we'll be contacted by phone to be offered a seat.. They also said they won't be informing us of our placement ranking. Sigh.

BCIT August 2014 Applicants
Hey Chiseen, I'm in the same boat. Looks like we'll have to wait till near August to know for sure if we got a spot or not.. I feel like I would've liked to have a straight accept or decline instead by now since the wait is really distracting XD. Too bad they won't be letting us know our place on the hold-list either.. Lochte, I didn't get an email to my regular account, just an email to my bcit one. Did you check there cuz I didn't notice it at first either. For those of you who got in, I was just wondering what your grades are like and whether you have a degree or not? Does anyone know if acceptance was just based on the questionnaire after the short-list or everything including grades and the resume before? Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

BCIT August 2014 Applicants
Hey everyone :), I'm still waiting too. Thought I'd join in the anticipation XD. Thanks for letting us know Cesh! So does that mean there's actually some seats left? I was under the impression all acceptance offers were given already and was just waiting for a rejection lol. The wait and constant checking has been aweful! lol I was also wondering, for the people who got accepted last week, did you guys have/already take the libs courses?
