  1. Thank you so much lehaley1989. Very useful info, I will start researching other programs and the requirements this weekend! I really appreciate everyone's input.
  2. How many programs did you apply to and how many were you accepted in to?
  3. Thank you Joseizking, I will get started on that today.
  4. I'm in Mansfield (Texas) which is between Dallas and Ft Worth. I will be applying for a school in ft Worth.....but now I will be applying in Dallas, Denton and Corsicana. All are about 45 minutes to an hour away.
  5. Thank you! Let me start researching now! I'm so excited!
  6. I will be finishing my last pre req in the Spring of 2018, once I'm done I will apply to the nursing program (TCC). I've heard that the program usually has a lot of applicants and the space is very limited. Should I apply to other schools in the area?
  7. I am taking A & P I and Microbiology in the Fall and will have A & P II to take in the Spring and I will be ready to apply to the nursing program. Has anyone taken AP I and Microbiology at the same time?
  8. I want to know the same thing, I'm also curious about how many classes can I/should I take if working almost full-time.
  9. I enjoyed the summer courses, I was able to get some 2 classes out of the way fairly easy. I took PSYC 2301 and made an A, the class was very easy. I am currently finishing up Dance Appreciation, the class is easy but the teacher grades very hard. I'm making an A right now with 2 more assignments and one test due, but she is making things too complicated if you ask me.....and yes I would do it again. I am ready for fall, I am taking 3 classes, which is a stretch for me. The most I've taken is 2, since I work full time.
  10. My resolution is to make it through my 1st semester of pre reqs with a 4.0, I work full time & have a very busy life, but I'm fully committed as this is something I've wanted to do for quite some time.
  11. Thanks for sharing that info polysuazo! You are so right.....anything worth having is going to take hard work and time. I am ready for the challenge.
  12. OMG......this thread has made my day. I'm a 38 y/o single parent of a 10 year old (I have a 21 y/o too but she's grown). I have just decided to fullfill my dream of becoming an RN. I think I'm finally at a point where I can dedicate the time to take some classes. I currently have a fulltime job so I think I will start with 1 or 2 online pre-req courses (I'm leaning towards one just to test the waters) I'm starting from scratch w/no previous college hours. I'm set up to take PYSC-2314 Lifespan & Growth Development to start (summer session) I attended M.A school years ago and have worked in Physician Management (billing credentialing, etc) for over 15 years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
