  1. No classes during summer. So if you start in spring it will be : spring 2020, fall 2020, spring 2021 and fall 2021 also, there are 6 books you need. 3 Pearson books (it’s the big bundle ) you also need the Davis drug guide, Castillo workbook, and the nurses pocket guide. Wow, that would be great for you guys!

  3. Absolutely. So for 1st semester you will take : fundamentals (lecture) , critical thinking (lecture) , and Essentials (lab skills). My schedule is: Mondays (9am-4pm) Tuesday’s (8am-10am) and Thursday’s (10-4pm). Obviously the schedule can change but just to give you an idea of how many hours I’m in class. Also, the workload is NOT insurmountable! I Am getting through it just fine and calm. Don’t be scared, it’s totally do-able, the teachers so far I’ve worked with are amazing !!!
  4. I understand your anxiousness. I heard it was going to be this week, but sometimes they are just so overwhelmed processing so many apps from all health science depts. my best advice is to enjoy your weekend! Once you get accepted, things will get crazy (getting all your immunizations, cpr, etc etc).
  5. Several reasons. People change their minds, one student I know decided he wanted to go to Med school instead and gave up his seat. Another reason, people can fail their drug tests or background tests and be disqualified.
  6. Those anticipated dates did not mean anything for fall 2019 A little birdie at school told me this week you guys would hear. Good luck!!
  7. For fall 2019 it was end of day. Like 4-5pm. You guys should know really soon! Also, if those that don’t get in, keep hope. I was not even an alternate for fall 2019 and I still got in!!
  8. I will be applying for the spring 2020 term. I am shocked the cut off was 3.71 for this fall semester. My GPA is 3.61 hoping that next term the cut off is lower.
  9. I have two transfer credits for A&P2 (1st attempt was a B, and second attempt an A). I guess if HCC takes my first attempt my GPA will only be a 3.62 ???‍♀️
  10. Shan, if you took the TEAS a year ago, do you have to retake for this application? I think they expire at the end of each year??
  11. Hey Christie , I submitted my application April 1, and it just now showed up in my documents on web advisor today.
  12. I do too. It’s going to be a long month and a half of waiting!! ?
  13. So thankful for the tips and information everyone shares. I applied a couple weeks ago for fall 2019. I have a 3.8 and I am hoping for the Southshore Campus. And the TEAS test was pretty easy, the YouTube videos for TEAS prep were very helpful. Good luck everyone !
