Work in hospital?
Thank you for your reply. I am currently working as a RN and my key restriction is over with. I am just worried about wasting all the time and energy looking if the possibility is not there. It is reassuring to know that there is a chance.

Fl IPN evaluation
I posted this in one of ypur other posts but.... I have recently started my journey with IPN... I'm pretty sure all evaluations will require a hair test. Just a word of advise (I learned the hard way) make sure your evaluation is with an independent doctor. Most of the ones in Tampa own or are associated with a treatment facility. See an evaluator that has no hidden agendas...

Drug tested question
When it comes back positive for Benzos they will break it down for the specific drug. The MRO of the lab will then call you and ask for a script before they report to your employer. If will still be considered a failed test and reportable if you so not have a script. At least in FL that's how it works.

New to IPN Florida
What makes matters worse is that I was lied to. The doctor told me he wasn't affiliated with any facility and come to find out, after the eval, he is the medical director AND the MRO at the facility. He straight up took my money, lied to me, and has since refused to send me a copy of my eval. I'm going to take me chances with a second eval even though she is 4 hrs from my house and more expensive. I can't find anywhere that she owns or is associated with an IP facility.

New to IPN Florida
Thank you... I made that mistake not knowing the consequences. I went for the evaluation and pushed his facility all the way. IPN has allowed me a second eval; however, the 2 out of the 3 doctors own their own facilities. The 3rd one is considerably more expensive and really far away but she is not affiliated with any facility. I'm gong to take my chances on her. I know I screwed up and I have own it. I need and am willing to get the help but I feel the first eval was biased.

New to IPN Florida
Does anyone know if all IPN evaluations in Florida recommend inpatient treatment for narcotic use? I have spoken to few people that have been through the program with outpatient treatment; however, these few received treatment years ago. I would appreciate input from anyone with recent knowledge regarding recommendations.

Track Marks
My nursing notes is a majority of my charting. I use narrative to document a pts stay from triage to admission / discharge. Still to this day, I have not created a generalized note to describe pts track marks. I want to be as objective as possible; however, it is difficult to chart track marks without charting opinion. The term "track marks" automatically implies opinion. Does anyone have a simple yet legal way to document the evidence of IV drug use?
