Yes there is a lot to do and find a place to stay because dorms are full! Thank you guys for the advice, I will definitely start the background test today :) Oh cool you have the book list already! That's awesome I'll probably get the books at the meet and greet!

Just got an update in ranking. I am now #2 on the waitlist, but I feel like everyone who has been offered a position has already accepted it. So I am feeling less hopeful. But, I Hope everyone is doing great getting ready for the program or their program of choice! I wish you all the best of luck!

Aw thank you!! Yes I agree it does feel like I know you, atleast via the forum lol And thank you I hope we get in too!! I e-mailed yesterday and was told I am now on the waitlist...It's a step in the right direction so hoping to hear something by the end of this week. If not, I shall move forward with MSMC. I too hope they decline to go to their preferred school. Good luck with your program @allaboutkitties! :)

Congratulations!! @Emtfuturenurse I got the same e-mail too about we couldn't be added to the list since there isn't enough room on the list or something like that, so we are in the same boat. I'm a little confused because I was told waitlist not alternate list but maybe it is the same. I was told there were 19 on the waitlist and that as people got accepted/ or rejected they would let us know either what place we are on the waitlist or if we got in. So I am very confused and have lost a lot of hope, but still not hopeless. But now that I know there's another deadline in place, hopefully we'll hear some better news. Best of luck to you Emtfuturenurse, maybe we will get in last minute. I'm okay with that lol but it would be nice to know sooner right!? Let me know if you hear anything too ok!

I'm sorry to hear that I was saddened because you are such a nice person from what I've seen in the forums and was looking forward to taking classes with someone like you, with hope of being accepted of course. But, sometimes things happen for a reason in order to follow the path that's meant to be for us. With that said, I wish you the best!! I agree, you will be a great nurse. Please let us know how your program goes ok! Wishing you the best And I will def post if i got in or not. Regardless, we are starting our nursing careers so HOORAY!!! That's the real goal, not the school but our amazing careers :)

Thank you @Emtfuturenurses! I do too! And I hope you do as well!! And I am glad you asked @Echelon, because I had the same question and I asked. She said I was ranked out of the 183, and OF those 183 eligible candidates, acceptance letters were sent to the top ranked [That's most of you here, woot woot!]. Meaning that I'm 12 people away from the 55 that they accepted. They are taking 55 students this cohort not 60, per the e-mail I received. So that's all the info I got today. So after July 8th, which is the deadline to accept or decline spots, the rest of us still waiting will find out. Keep the faith everyone! Hopefully we'll make it! :) #stayingpositive

I got a response! Feeling hopeful, #67 of the overall 183 eligible candidates.

I know right! Maybe I should have just waited..but I just asked politely in the best way I could if it was possible to see where I am on the list. I'll let you know of the reply ok. What I need to do is walk away from the computer, the wait is driving my nuts and it's only day 2 lol

Yay Congrats to all of you who got accepted! :) Glad to hear e-mails have gone out! Hooray!! @allaboutkitties Yes that's how much tuition is. So it sucks =/ But yes, the plus is that in the long term it's worth it because of the great hospitals they work with. And I would be getting my own apt and living with my bf. Apts are way less expensive in Bakersfield :) I agree, this forum is nice to vent and get some answers from eachother, it does help :) Glad the letters have started to go out and a lot of our fellow foum members have been accepted so that is AWESOME! Still holding Hope
