  1. That is what nursing is pitching in helping out where and when needed weather it is you regular patient or not.I am a C.N.A and i try to help out when i see that another co-worker needs help.think what really gets me at times is that when the second shift gets on 3/11 and they see something minor instead of doing it they run to the person in charge i cannot count the number of times that I have done something and not said a word about it.when I get their at 6.45am and make my rounds set up for am meal and find that my patients have not been clean and dry or in bad shape i will clean them up and not say a word right then but i do say something when it is really bad.also another thing that gets me is that you are trying to help out in a team and then a day or two later others try to take an advantage of it you can tell pretty much when someone is busy and not when it is time to do ccertin duties that they do not want to do. :) web page
  2. :) Pete depends on the experience you have as a C.N.A but then again in some places that dose not even matter.have been doing this type of work for many years and not making what I should be making.Make more money when I work for the agency then I do working my full time job.In texas where I am they do not even pay their other nurses much that is way their is such a nursing shortage [email protected]
  3. :) I work in a nursing home here in texas and I think that we should go to different color scrubs reall think that white is out dated.think that we should be able to whear something that has color for cheer fully.but should have a casual day couple of days a week and the weekend.doing patient in jeans is not easy to do to much bending and having to get in the shower room just not good to do patient care in some stree cloths.scrubs are in more then the white uniforms now.
  4. I did not see leno but I am sure that he had a lot of jokes to say as the others did like david letterman.they just have no ideal what we go thru and really do not care anymore what these people have to say anymore. They have to really see what we do and that if it was not for us they would not get the care should they end up in the hospital some day.
  5. :) Yes I do agree with what has been said if the hot shot people were not saving the money for themselves us C.N.A,s would have better pay but what is ever left out of their budget is their money to keep and it should not be that way.I feel that we work harder then they do we do all the dirty work and take crap from others that they do not know what we are talking about.fell that we should have on going education like they do for the R.N and L.V.N we are apart of all the nurses and lots of people do not see us as nurses just people that clean up piss all day.as I speak for a lot of people we would like to be kept up dated on things as well.I am glad that hospitals do not treat us as bad as nursing homes do at least in a hospital setting we can use our skills and knowledge [email protected]
