  1. Great, thanks I'll email soon!
  2. That's what they are supposed to be looking at. That is what they have reiterated but for some reason I hear people asking and saying this as if they've got a secret. I think the application process has become much less complicated for the admission team by narrowing it down to the first four classes and the TEAS score. A simple composite score of the two seems way simpler than some of the point systems I have heard of practiced in the past. So to answer your question, when people are posting their gpa, I've just assumed it was only the first 4 classes unless they said overall because the rest doesn't matter to anyone. Everyone is wondering to find out what is a competitive score. Good luck!
  3. BeachMeyer, we seem to have tons in common. I'm nearly full time at work, tons of family obligations, and school. I unfortunately never had time for the study groups because I was cramming! I know going forward that's not the way it will be so I would love to meet some people that can help drive me. Are you currently an Inver student? Have you finished your generals? I don't know much about this site but I've seen people talking about personal messaging each other but couldn't see how that worked so I think I sent you a friend request and now maybe we can personal message and nail down some chat time.
  4. My GPA was 4.0 and a TEAS of 80.7. So thankful that it was good enough. Also proud that we made it out of 300 some applicants! To Hopeful nurse, I would recommend having the highest GPA possible to give you good jump. The TEAS wasn't as hard as people say. I reviewed for less than a week. I would recommend buying the book and online tests. Read the book to see what you need to know and study up on where you fall short. I didn't have the time to allow this for myself and was in a panic. I think if you give yourself a couple weeks you should be golden. Also practice with time. I had kids, work, and current classes to work through while studying so I didn't have time to pretend I was actually taking the exam timed. I ran out of time on the reading because it was the first section and I was nervous. I also ran out of time on the math. After getting myself stuck on a problem, I remembered that there were easier problems to come so I skipped ahead. My advice would also be to take the book tests and the online tests. I didn't have time for both so I only took my two online practice exams so I would be familiar with what to expect for the actual test. Seriously I'm so thankful because I didn't do near what I wanted. So give yourself enough time! I'm so excited to get started and meet some new people. Does anyone want to meet up sometime for coffee or something to talk a game plan? I've found I'm driven in school when I have comrades.
  5. I thought there was someone on here who was on the alternate Century list. If so, I'll be denying my acceptance and know of 1 more so you're moving up!
  6. Oh who's the teacher? I should look at that. I've been going strong for the last year and a half, including last summer, and I was kind of looking forward to a summer off. I haven't struggled with math but would like the opportunity to focus on it solo. The way the program has it lined up, stats is the first semester of the BSN. I would also like to focus on my skills as a new grad at that time. I want to work in a hospital and I know it can be a hard transition so I don't want to kill my GPA because I was too stressed.
  7. That's a good idea. I wasn't happy with what Inver had to offer, I was also looking for stats this summer. I need that and the writing in your major course. Now that this is out of the way I can figure out my game plan. I'll have to check out Metro's options. Thanks for the advice. Have you signed up for a summer course already and if so did you go through an admission process? We're now dually enrolled but does that mean we could take any course there. I guess I can call Metro as well just thought I'd ask. Thanks!
  8. Sorry to hear that lindz, 11.2 seems competitive. Are you on the alternate list or did they say how many applied. Maybe enough people have a different first choice.
  9. My Inver acceptance did not require a signature so I think you're fine
  10. Thanks a ton! Fingers crossed for you all!
  11. I'm in as well! So happy this wait is over. nae312213, are you currently taking classes at Inver?
  12. Just got in! My GPA is 4.0 and my teas 80.7 for a score of 12.07. I only heard from Inver, which is my first choice. Nothing from Century but I live further from them. Must have been mailed yesterday. Good luck everyone!
  13. So they are out there! Do you know her score FutureIDNP? I would chase him but in all reality I am just out of the shower and still in a robe!
  14. The mail man is down the block, I want to chase him down. I live in St. Paul so if it was mailed yesterday there is a chance it could be here. I'll let you guys know soon!
  15. I applied to Inver and Century and like the rest of you, am anxiously waiting for the mail. Does anyone know if it was getting mailed today or expected to arrive today? Has anyone called? I wanted to call yesterday but got sidetracked at work. I feel like I'm waiting around for disappointment. I'll post when the mail comes! Can you all do the same?
