  1. Hello, i will be moving soon to Florida as well. I am currently in New Jersey, working in New York. What part of Florida are you moving to and when? Have you been looking into hospitals? Hope to hear from you soon!!!
  2. Hello. I'm sorry I don't work there, I work at NYU Medical Center. But I did hear Hackensack is a good place. Let me know if your interested about NYU. :)
  3. Hello- I work 12 hour days and my patient load is 7-8 patients. You should call Hackensacks Human resources dept and they will tell you the average salary of a RN. The salary for each RN differs from experience and the years you've been there. I've been there for 3 years and make in the low $70's. If you work nites, you'll make more. Hope this helped. Let me know if I can help you with anything.
  4. Hello there- I overheard someone on my unit the other day say that Hackensack starts in the low $60,000. But I'm not sure what her experience was prior to going there. I'm not sure if this helped, but it was worth a try. Good luck. Are u interested at NYU at all? Let me know.
  5. I am actually moving to the Sarasota/Bradenton area from New Jersey in a few months and looking into hospitals down there. I am currently working at NYU, I have my BSN and work on a rehab medicine floor. I don't think I want to continue on a rehab floor anyore. I worked there for 4 years. I want something different. Would you recommend a unit over there?? Also, how is the salary for RN's with a BSN. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in touch. Thanks- Sandi
  6. Hello everyone- I am currently a RN with a BSN in New York and will be moving to Florida in a few months. This is my first time posting something and I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me anything about nursing in Florida- west coast, by Sarasota-Bradenton area. I recently got married and my husband and I love Florida, so we purchased a new home that will not be ready for a few months. Any good hospitals anyone knows about and whats the average salary down there?? Any information would be of great help, Thanks!!
