PIH Downey New Grad 2014
Hi, i applied for for the DOU and interviewed yesterday with HR and the director of med/surg (the director of DOU couldn't be there). At the end I was told that they are making offers starting next week. Does anyone have any information on the program? Pay rate? Benefits?

NCLEX 2014/Kaplan
Hey Everyone! I have my NCLEX scheduled for 4 days from now and am so completely overwhelmed yet at the same time so done with studying. I have been studying for 7 weeks now about 6-8 hours a day +/- a few hours. I've really only used Kaplan. I've tried a few other books, but didn't really like them as much as Kaplan. Here are my scores: Diagnostic Test: 51.1 QT1: 50.7 QT2: 66.7 QT3: 53.0 QT4: 66.7 QT5: 61.3 QT6: 70.0 QT7: Will take on Sunday I am also going to retake the readiness test since I haven't seen the questions/answers since May, but my score in May was 62.8. Any advice for the weekend studies? I took the "Alternate Format" practice test today and completely bombed it. How should I prepare for SATA? Thanks in advance and congrats to everyone! :)

NCLEX RN Scheduling
Hey everyone, I am currently studying to take the NCLEX RN. I received my ATT and checked out the dates/times available in my area and was hoping I could get some suggestions.... I was wanting to take the NCLEX the last week of June which would put me at 7 weeks of studying; however, the only available location to test is one that i was hoping i wouldn't have to go to. I could push the exam back and take it a week later at the location and afternoon session like i wanted, putting me at 8 weeks of studying; however, this would be the week after I already have a weekend getaway planned for the 4th of July. Therefore; I could push it back to the second week of July and get the location and time I wanted plus have the weekend to study as well. Any suggestions? I have heard in the past that the passing rates decline the longer you wait. Any suggestions would help! Thank you all :)

CHLA RN Residency Program September 2014
Hopefully your packet made it!! I believe it's 2 interviews. The first is supposed to be with the recruiters and Human Resources and the second is with the managers of the unit you applied for. My Preceptor is a graduate from the program and this is what she told me, but it could have changed since last year!

CHLA RN Residency Program September 2014
The packet said that they will do interviews throughout May. If you don't hear anything by May 31 then they didn't pick you for first round of interviews. I know last cohort calls for interviews came even past that set date. Keep thinking positive thoughts! :)

CHLA RN Residency Program September 2014
Just saw this thread! I dropped off my application in person, it was very informal but everyone was very friendly. I just completed my final preceptorship at CHLA and have fallen IN LOVE with the hospital, the patients and the nurses. Fingers crossed!! I chose Oncology as my number one and ED as my number 2. Good luck everyone :)
