Houston Winter 2019 Nurse Residency Programs
Received an email from a recruiter from MH Southwest on Thurs. 10/11 with a list of units available from the residency program at that location. I was also instructed to send back an email with my name, degree type, GPA, and 1st & 2nd choice units. It said that those chosen to participate would be contacted within the following week, and that Match Day is Mon. 10/22. Unfortunately, I never heard anything back after that email, so I am guessing that I was not selected, as Match Day is tomorrow! I am an ADN graduate from out of state and it seems that it is extremely difficult to get a job out here. I have sent completed well over 100 applications! I have plans to return from my RN to MSN. However, I cannot return to school until I start working and get on my feet because I cannot afford it right now. Good luck to all of those who were chosen!! If anybody has any leads on places in the Houston area that hire ADN graduates, please share! Thanks!

Ats chicago - - info needed!
@Mscoleman78 No, I decided not to attend this school. I had some personal things come up around the time that I was originally looking into ATS. I will be starting my RN program in the fall though! How about you? Did you attend ATS? If so, how was your experience?

Hey! I am considering the Ras nursing program in Romeoville. Your post is from 2013, so I assume you've finished by now? Would you mind sharing with me your thoughts, experience in the program, and your job search post graduation? I'm just trying to weigh my options to make the best decision for school. I know the Romeoville campus program is newer than most, so it's hard to find information about it. You can email me at [email protected] or just reply to this post. Any info is appreciated!

TEAS results "blocked"?
I took the TEAS V exam 3 times. The first 2 attempts, I was able to access & view my scores with no problem. However, when I took it a third time, I went online to access my results because I needed to send them to a prospective nursing school, and I was not able to even look at the score. It said "blocked/disabled by instructor." I contacted the customer service help center via email and they told me that I would have to contact the school because it is something that they did on their. I never contacted the school I took the TEAS at to inquire about this because I kind of stumbled upon away around it. Since the nursing school I was applying to only accepted official transcripts directly from ATI, and not a copy of the scores (I had already viewed my score by the way. They provided me with 2 copies after the test was over. I made and scanned/saved a copy to my computer so that I would always have it.), but like I was saying, the school only accepted official test transcripts delivered electronically from ATI. So under my blocked scores, I clicked on "share results". After paying the fee for the test transcript and entered all the necessary info, my purchase was complete. They will send a receipt and confirmation email. Within the confirmaton email is an ATTACHMENT, this attachment is a PDF copy of your scores! Be sure not to look past it, because I almost did. You can download and save the file, or you can print it out...or both. Hope this helps! PS, if you don't want to send the scores to another institution and just want to see your scores, I would suggest contacting the school you took the exam at.

Galen College of Nursing
Since you had all of your gen ed classes complete? I currently have all of the Q1 classes complete (as well as a few others from other quarters). I was wondering if that would knock a semester off and allow me to finish in 21 months instead of 24.

looking for lpn school in chicago
IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO IS ATTENDING OR PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED ATS CHICAGO, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED IF YOU COULD ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS AND SHARE ANY OTHER INFO THAT YOU FEEL WOULD BE ESSENTIAL!!! 1. Day vs. evening classes - - is the length of the program longer depending on which class schedule you choose? 2. Do classes usually end at the scheduled time? (I work overnights at my job and I was considering taking the evening class, so I was curious if I would be getting out at 10:00pm or a little earlier? Once I figure this out I will know if I need to consider changing my work schedule.) 3. How is the program in general, as far as teachers, tests, assignments, etc.? 4. Do you feel ATS prepared you for the NCLEX-PN exam? What is their pass rate like? 5. Does ATS hold a graduation ceremony? If so, where at? 6. Any other info you think I should know as I am heavily considering this program. Thanks in advance!!
