  2. I am in the same boat as you! I got accepted to Memphis' FNP program. Are you going to send in the form that is due by April 15th?
  3. Has anyone gotten any updates?
  4. Super laid back too! So we will see!
  5. Hey! I have an interview too and have the same questions!
  6. Hey! I just applied for the program for fall! If you don't mind me asking what were your GPAs
  7. Hey! I have an interview for fnp fall 2017! Does anyone have any pointers for the interview? I can't find a more recent thread
  8. I applied for the FNP BSN-DNP program. Let the waiting begin! Does anyone know what the acceptance rate it?
  9. Did you do bullet points or more paragraphs under? I'm struggling to find the perfect medium
  10. What were your GPAs? Also, did you submit a CV or resume
  11. Did you all submit a CV or resume? If you submitted a CV how in depth was it
  12. were the SATA difficult or pretty easy
  13. Which PDA chapters did you find most helpful
  14. Thank you for your post! I take the NCLEX for the 2nd time August 4th. On here you hear about people passing the 3rd time, but rarely the 2nd. Your post was encouraging. I was near passing in all categories and had 265 questions
  15. If you do not know your core content then Kaplan is useless, but if you do kaplan is great
  16. Kaplan is more strategy based. It has resources for you to on your own go watch videos on content is you feel weak in a certain subject, but it is not part of their review sessions. It teaches you how to analyze and approach a question. It helps you critically think. Also, it has about 3000 practice questions. I did the online live sessions and loved it. You also get a free e-book with core content information in it. Hurst is entertaining and not boring to watch. You and your husband could watch together. They have print out notes that you follow along with as you watch the videos. There are blanks that you have to fill in. Hurst only provides you with 6 125 practice tests, which is not a lot. Hurst is content based, so if you do not feel confident in your core content, then I would recommend hurst. After taking hurst I was more confident in my knowledge. On top of whichever course you buy I would recommend buying the LaCharity PDA book. It is not very expensive and is NCLEX 'gold' as someone once put it. Also, I would study the 35 page study guide that is circulating around these boards.
  17. I say go ahead and take it. The chances of you hard core studying for the next month is slim to none. You will be burned out. Go ahead and get it out of the way while everything is fresh on your mind.
  18. Take it and do not let the test define you. If you reschedule the chances of you finding another testing time in the next couple weeks is slim. I was advised to take the test as close to graduating as possible. You will end up hurting yourself in the long run if you put it off. I will be sending you good vibes on wednesday! Try and be confident and take a day off tomorrow and try not to think about the test.
  19. I take mine on Wednesday too! I would not reschedule… no use in putting it off and letting your anxiety build up more and more.
  20. I know this is very delayed, but did you pass with those scores?
  21. which books/study tips did you find to be most helpful
  22. I ended up declining my position at Dells, and when I was visiting they had another open spot. So they should be hiring 2 more people
  23. I was at the HR office today and it for sure starts June 23rd.
