  1. Thanks(: just making sure I'm not crazy ( well, not entirely crazy Lol).
  2. Thanks for the suggestions but I'm a little confused. I added the Nursing Central app and it said you must be a member to use it. So, I went online to become a member and to do so, you must subscribe for $169.95????? Really? Or did I do something incorrectly.
  3. Hello everyone, I have applied for nursing school for this fall and plan to get a job as an ER TECH for the summer to gain some experience and get a feel for the enviroment. Since I am a pre- nursing student and have little/no experience thus far in the medical field, what can I do to prepare myself for this job? All inputs are welcome, Thanks!
  4. Thanks... And no I am not. Should be in nursing school this fall. I have a little while, but have been looking into different places to live for after I graduate.
  5. Hello everyone, I am sure we have all browsed the internet in search of the best paying states for nurses. California always seems to be on the top of that list, but it is also pretty known that the cost of living in California is much higher than most places of the United States. So my question is, is the high pay worth the cost of living? Are nurses that live in California living in as nice of homes as they would choose to be living in in another state? I'm curious to know everyone's input on this! Especially if you live in the California area. Thank you!
  6. If you have any community colleges or colleges that offer ASN programs in your area or near by, you should also apply to those. Most of those PROGRAMS (not counting prereqs... but it sounds like you have those done anyways) are only two years and then you can to a bridge program (that is usually one year) to get your bachelors and already be working as a nurse at that point, while getting your bsn. If you don't get in, you don't get in but it never hurts to try.
  7. I am apply for ASN at ivy tech! Just took my teas... Can't wait to get started! Good luck everyone!
