  1. Hey guys! Just wondering if someone can DM me the link to the FB group page! I finally got to register for classes as well & I decided to do the full-time DNP FNP track.
  2. AHHH. I agree, any day now! They need to send those decisions quick. LOL
  3. They did change it to part-time. So the program will take 7 semesters for FNP (MSN) and then another 5 if you're going for the DNP.
  4. I'm going to be stalking my email everyday starting today until we receive these decisions! Who's with me!
  5. Thanks for the update @kwain. I'm still checking my email everyday & awaiting these decisions. I'm keeping my hopes up that they send it to us this April, instead of May.
  6. Hang in there @kwain, we're all in this together. I'm afraid to email them about decisions.
  7. i took the GRE twice and literally got the same score. 151/154, I'm nervous that my 151 would hinder me from my admissions. I find it crazy because other schools don't require GRE anymore. I'm hoping that my high GPA, recommendations & letter of intent will be enough. I have pediatric ED & PICU experience, but I also have simulation education experience as well.
  8. Yes! I hope we find out soon & thank you so much for the info. I'm getting anxious on whether or not I get in, because this is my top choice. Good luck to all of us!
  9. Congrats to everyone that got in!
  10. I'm choosing between Duke, USF and waiting on UF decisions. How about you? Maybe we can help each other out!
  11. Thank you so much Carly! It's all good, I'm thinking it's around the same time which is a full 3 years for Family as well. You ready to take out loans? LOLOL. I wonder if maybe they know that the students work full-time & want to make the program suited to the majority of the students. I didn't attend DUSON due to work, but I'm thankful for this info!
  12. Whoa, what do you mean they changed the plan? Do you know how this affects the BSN - DNP program?I wonder how many semesters it would take for us to complete their program!
  13. Congrats to everyone that got accepted! I also got my Duke acceptance for the BSN to DNP FNP program! Just wondering if anyone else like me who's in the fence of accepting their decisions? Aghhhh.
  14. I had the same experience with USF, the atmosphere was so welcoming! I'm choosing between schools, so this is going to be a tough decision on me.
  15. Hey everyone! Just got the update from Duke & viewed my admissions! I got in to their BSN to DNP FNP Program! Good luck to everyone, especially to those deciding between different schools!
  16. The area around definitely has its scary parts, like other cities. My friend lives 10 minutes away from John Hopkins, he says its ok. Congrats on getting accepted at Duke! I got accepted to their MSN yesterday, and they're still reviewing my DNP app.
  17. Thank you! Johns Hopkins is a hybrid program. You would have to get your eCompact license and move up there by January next year. Duke is an online program and they help you find clinical placements in your own area, but you have to hunt for your own preceptors I believe for the most part and some visits to campus.
  18. So you're thinking between USF, UF and UNF?
  19. That's awesome that you have a place to move back! I'm actually thinking about moving to Lakeland. I have a part-time business that's based in Orlando so I can go to our office time to time. I've been accepted to USF for their BSN to DNP program, so if I don't get in UF then at least I'm close enough to Tampa. I'm nervous that UF decisions will be late and I'm already looking at jobs and apartments. But that's the beauty of it being online. Yes in-state tuition beats private universities. I applied to Johns Hopkins (accepted) and Duke (waiting for decision) but their tuition fees are just out of this world.
  20. Thank you so much @khemi for your reply. I know several people as well that graduated from UF's MSN program and they really enjoyed their time there. A big factor for me is tuition and the flexibility of having an online program; which is why I'm staying in Florida. I already got my backup school! Looking to move in the Central Florida region this summer and I'm already interviewing for jobs so I can relocate before the semester begins!
  21. I believe with most schools its a little higher than 50%, depending on how many apply. This is from U.S. News for University of Florida DNP Admission (2016): Applicants 166 Acceptances 83 Acceptance rate (DNP) 50% New entrants 71 Just wondering to those of us that applied, why are you guys applying to UF? Have you guys heard from friends or other forums on how their experience is with the program?
  22. I interviewed with one faculty in their office.
  23. Hey everyone! I got my admission to the BSN to DNP Program FNP Track at USF (University of South Florida), there are some others that got in as well. Good luck to everyone that applied! We also started a thread here: https://allnurses.com/student-nurse-practitioner/usf-dnp-fall-1144212.html
  24. I already received my orientation date and to fill up documentations.
  25. I agree, I thought there'd be more people responding so we can all support each other in this wait and process. Maybe more will come once the March 1 deadline hits. Good luck to us!
