Second-Entry Nursing Programs - 2014 Hopeful
I got into UofT! Got email this morning. My stats are GPA 3.76 in my last year and 3.4 overall with an Honours degree in bio. I had a C+ in my prerequisites so that made me nervous. Did usual volunteer soccer hospital etc. What I think helped me was working as a medical admin in the hospital for the last year. Will cancel my acceptance to Queens so hopefully that helps someone. Good luck to all those still waiting!

Second-Entry Nursing Programs - 2014 Hopeful
From reading older threads (so not an ideal source) it seems a lot of people got in with a 3.6 GPA in their last year and a couple with 3.5 but they had great supplemental apps and got in closer to June. Hope that helps! A lot of questions are answered in the older threads

My GPA is 3.76 in my last two years. 3.4 overall with an Honours degree in bio (on OMSAS scale). What I think really helps me is I have been working as a medical secretary plus volunteering in hospital and the fact they dont look at my first two years which are dreadful.

My GPA is 3.76 in my last two years. 3.4 overall with an Honours degree in bio. What I think really helps me is I have been working as a medical secretary. Trent emailed me Feb 19th, turning it down for Queens and still hoping for UofT.

Hi I just wanted to get the conversation started regarding people applying to the accelerated nursing schools this year. I applied to Queen's UofT Humber Trent and Western. So far only Queen's and Trent have responded. Wondering if anyone else has heard anything and if so what's your stats (GPA Volunteer Work...). My first choice is UofT and I am very anxiously awaiting their response.
