  1. 5 minutes ago I received an official email saying "you were not selected to receive a scholarship". I'm assuming that's the end of it for me. I haven't heard anything back from nurse corps. The email I got was from NHSC scholarship program. Unless they combined the two? Not sure. But either way, congrats to everyone else!! I'm gonna see if I can get into the faculty loan forgiveness instead still doing primary care tho! Not changing anything for me at all. For those that also didn't get it, don't lose hope!!! Where there's a will, there's a way! I made it this far, as an immigrant from South America, undocumented through college and managed to find a way to work multiple jobs during full time nursing school (also depending on clinics similar to the ones you all will serve!)... you all got this! Best of luck to everyone :)
  2. Yes! Thank you as well! We need positivity! I hope we hear back something good soon!! P.s: I'm in a full time DNP track, but for some reason I have a feeling my work is what might be causing some stigma... I'm working so I can afford to eat and and support my family... hope they take all of this into consideration for us.
  3. I see! Same! Had to take out this semester too. I'm also working, per diem at the hospital & one day a week as a clinical instructor, not sure if working makes a difference! My EFC is also zero. So many things I'm thinking about at this point. Also, I called a little bit ago, they actually said the official cut off is end of October cause some people decline the contract and then they go down the list and give others the opportunity, there's still hope!
  4. Btw, congratulations to all the finalists!!!!!! I wonder if it has something to do with my undergraduate student loans... I really only took out for my last semester of my BSN... any one feel their loans might've been an issue?
  5. I spoke to my advisor and she says it's very weird that they haven't even reached out yet... (Hopkins receives multiple awards per year hence my confidence)... I wonder if they're even considering any more finalists at this point. I'm gonna call them later and see... I'm scared I'm gonna get the same answer, again
  6. Hi everyone! I'm a little late to the party.. I applied for both the HRSA scholarship program & the nurse corps scholarship program. I have yet to hear anything from either! I'm in my second year of DNP FNP at Johns Hopkins. I'm very confident in my profile... and have contacted them but kept getting the answer of "we'll let you know by sept 30", I'm getting anxious! Anyone else in a FNP program apply?
  7. Thank you!!! Congratulations to you as well!! Any facebook group started for fall 2017 yet?! I'm so excited!! This is without a doubt the program I'm gonna stick with!
  8. I got accepted into the DNP FNP program!!!!! I just got an email today!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!! This is a dream come true for me!!!!!! :)
  9. I'm guessing no FNP applicants have heard back yet, just spoke to them over the phone again, they said they've received a lot of applicants for FNP and are going to need minimum until next week to let notifications out, possibly end of the month. Just for anyone that is checking their email every hour like me. Lol...
  10. For FNP applicants: they're still finalizing their decisions and we'll be contacted through email very soon, possibility by next week. I called this morning. Good thing Georgetown is allowing me 2 weeks to decide...
  11. Did you all see a change in your application status as well when accepted? Mine just still says submitted.
  12. I got accepted into the FNP program!! Waiting on a decision from George Mason and Hopkins this week
  13. Congratulations to you both!!! No email or letter yet! I applied for FNP tho. Patiently waiting..... I got into Georgetown today but Hopkins really is my #1 choice!
  14. Notifications are being sent out this week is what I was told when I called admissions!
  15. Aebrahimi, congratulations!!! How long ago did you do your interview if I may ask? I'm waiting on my decision!
