Denied by CABON now to take LVN..
Hi, I have the same case too as yours. I'm sort of confused about the process for LVN exam but I suppose you already took it since you're post about this was wayback 2012. By any chance have you already taken your exam and if you dont mind, can I get some tips on what you did for the processing... Looking forward for your response. Phil, RN

Please help...Should I just change my Nursing Career?
Yes will do, thank you. LVN application is still on the process. I think it really needs a lot of patience to get a nursing career. Anyways, do you know any part time jobs which I may be qualified along SD?

how to be a CNA?
I graduated 2011. Does this mean that I no longer eligible? By any chance, do you know a specific website where I could go to check some qualifications?

Please help...Should I just change my Nursing Career?
Hi, I'm a registered Nurse in Philippines (Forgive me of saying this but most of the times I hate mentioning that I am from Philippines since most would say "Filipinos again". Anyways, I'm just here to ask some career advice and hoping that someone out there can give a little advice or thoughts. Anyways, my family and I have moved here in San Diego. Now, I'm starting my life here and for some reason, I feel like breaking down everyday and seemingly lost my positivity in life. I am depress and I feel useless that I don't even have a job. The reason why I moved here was because of my family. Family comes first as always. Well just so you know, I haven't apply for NCLEX. They say I need to study again here to be qualified in taking the exam. Is this true? I feel like going back to zero. What happened to all my hardwork in getting my license in Philippines? :..( Secondly, If I wont be eligible for NCLEX and I need to take classes here in San Diego, can I just apply for LVN instead? For this, do I still need to study again? Thirdly, If I wont be eligible for taking NCLEX and LVN, I'm thinking of being a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) but how? Where should I study or which training center should I go? Would there be an exam for this? Will I ever be qualified? Fourth, if I cant be a RN, LVN or CNA here, what other jobs or career can I get? Any thoughts pls.. Wayback in Philippines, I worked as a clinical nurse, been volunteering in a lot of health and outreach organizations. Apart from that, I have also worked in call center industry (taking inboiund and outbound calls for T-mobile customers and I have also work in a US-company website design based in Philippines as a customer service representative which pretty much takes calls from US. I am very hardworking. My body feels sick and weak not working at all. Any suggestions on what other jobs would fit me?

"Just" a CNA?!
i agree too. I am an RN in other planet lols but since I have migrated to another planet and became an alien, i have to start again. it is sad but then it hurts me more when people around me say " why JUST CNA? why not take NCLEX and be CA-RN? I always tell myself that it is not always the title that maters but the pride you take to the profession you have chosen.

how to be a CNA?
Hi, I'm an immigrant here in US and is an RN in Philippines. I have no plans on taking NCLEX since BON CA is tight right now for foreign nurses wanting to take the exam. By any chance, is there anyone here who knows on how can I be certified Nursing Assistant here in San Diego, California. I want to be a CNA for the mean time while waiting for the approval in taking the LVN exam? What school or training center should I go (if needed)? Your knowledge, experience and advice is higly appreciated :) Looking forward for a response. Thanks
