I'm a new to the operating room and as a circulator I had to update a family/emergency contact every 2 hrs during surgery. Yesterday, I was updating my patient's wife over the phone and she asked if she could put me on a speaker so other family members can hear(she and her children arrived to the hospital for her husband surgery). And then literally within 2 secs *** hit the fan and I had to place order for blood and get coworkers to get me supplies and so on. Long story short, after we stabilized the patient I was relieved to go home, so I never had a chance to update family but I asked my relief person to do so. So what would you do in my situation: do you feel OK to be on a speaker to update family ? If I didn't have an emergency and had to hang up(I did tell her I was sorry but surgeon needed me now. So it wasn't like I hanged up without informing her) I still wasn't comfortable being on a speaker but I wasn't sure how to bring that up to her. Also, would it be a hippa violation if I'm on a speaker updating a family or no?

Well, thanks for the answer.all I wanted was just to find out if smb took any of those tests and what they include. If there's any geometry or square roots or stuff like that?or if there's an English composition in the English part.u know

Its for the program.they sent me he acceptance letter, BT when I went over there to register for classes I found out abt these math and English placement exams, and if I don't score high enough, I won't be able to start the program.I have credits in college English and math already, so I don't understand the purpose of these tests. And also, why would u accept a student and then won't let him/ her start the program if the exams(I was never told abt) are failed?

Hey guys, sorry for a stupid question, But I just got accepted in the program and found out that I need to take eng/ math placement exam( regardless I have college eng and math already transferred from another school) .I was never told about it and I'm sort of scared, because I don't know what to expect there.can anyone help me here?

hey guys, i just got a letter....and i wasnt accepted=((im so upset. i read that some ppl got 15 points and still got into the program, i got 17.9 and didnt make it=(i know its not a lot, but i expected it would be worse.
