  1. I am an RN with 15 years of experience and a masters degree. My current hospital follows a very specific pay scale based on experience. I am moving to either Georgia or Texas where they told me pay is negotiable. I currently make $71/hr. One hospital in Georgia is offering me $45/hr. I understand there will be a significant cut in pay based on the new states cost of living but I don't want to sell myself short. What would be appropriate for me to make in the state of Georgia or Texas?
  2. I am wondering what the ratios are where everyone works. Im doing a project for my MSN on ratios. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XXT87DH
  3. I worked as a traveling nurse for a while and it always amazed me how ratios can fluctuate depending on where you work. Do you think nurses that work with lower ratios are more satisfied with their jobs? Right now I work in Massachusetts and work with a 3:1 ratio, but we have no aids. Its definitely busy with the high acuity of the patients. I am working on my masters degree and I would love if anyone would fill out this questionnaire on nurse satisfaction regarding ratios. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XXT87DH THANKS!!
  4. Im in the same boat. Ive been an RN for 6 years, but it feels like 50. I worked as a traveler for about 3 years and loved it. Loved the adventures, excitement and meeting new people. Now that I've established roots and got a staff job Im sick of it. I have a perfect home life, but i hate going to work. I hate the politics of being staff, working short staffed daily and budget issues. Ive been thinking about changing careers, but I'm not qualified or have experience in anything else. Any advice or ideas?????
