  1. I just saw this. Nyp queens is terrible . Staffing is horrendous . I have gotten 9 patients on a nightly basis . Aides are only allowed to do cleaning . That's it. No v/s, ekg nothing . And sometimes when aides are lazy we have to do them. Avoid this place
  2. You worked hard to graduate from nursing school that means you are somewhat competent .
  3. I had my intetview yesterday with a recruiter and she said she will def call me back either in a day or two. Gave me her business card and gave me salary and benefits info. Didn't get sent over immediately. Is this positive or negative? Have not heard back from them yet and its been one day.
  4. they ask about why dialysis, what do you see yourself in 5 years outside of nursing, what do you know about dialysis, what do you know about Da Vita etc
  5. You have a great heart! Don't give up on anyone!! :)
  6. Thank you so much !!!!! I will definitely get it .
  7. I just got accepted for a hemodialysis nurse position. I am starting training soon and would like to prepare myself ahead of time. Any tips? Any insight as to what may happen or what I should prepare for? They mentioned the first week will consist of computer-based training where I would sit for 8 hours in front of the computer reading. And I would be sent somewhere for two weeks for classes, of which hotel and food would be supplied for. Is there anything else I need to know? Thank you!!
  8. I just got a second round of interview with the nurse manager and FA. They said it's not really an interview, but they want me to express my opinions, interests and feelings about dialysis and why I really wanna be there. she also asked that I sell myself. What should I expect?
  9. I don't know how long it would take for them to respond . Facility admin said he has other applicants and doesn't know when he will be able to get back to me but he will while the nurse manager told me I am high on the list and he would talk to admin about it .
  10. Do you think it's okay if I fax the letter? I don't have her email address but i'm afraid sending a card would take too long. I am not sure how to obtain her email as well..
  11. So you're saying I should mail a thank you card ?
  12. So I had an interview today as a new grad in a Dialysis unit. I was interviewed by the facilitating administrator and the nurse manager. At the end of the interview, nurse manager gave me a tour around the unit, and then before she shook my hand for dismissal, she told me I am high on the list and that she will talk to the administrator about it. HOWEVER, AFTER I got home I FORGOT that I didn't take her business card!! I want to send her a thank you letter in email, but dont know what to do? I called and asked secretary for email, and they said they don't know what it is. What should I do? I am worried. Should I go there tomorrow and talk to her? Should I call her? or Should I just not do anything? Thank you in advance!
