  1. Hey BSPRAGU, Good Luck at your program in California. Thanks for your input. Which places did you look at in florida?
  2. Hey BSPRAGU, How did your interview go? Were you able to look at some places to live while you were there? Have you thought about how you are going to move out there?
  3. Hey Southern bailey, Thanks so much for the information. Please keep me updated about what you find out. Are you starting this fall as well? Are you moving long distance? Any tips for moving?
  4. Don't worry, if you really want to get into CRNA school you will. I was trying with very small hospital ICU experience, and after getting my CCRN I was able to get in. Don't give up!
  5. Well said! How has your experience in the program been so far?
  6. Did you end up taking these courses? How were they? Do you think it was worth taking them?
  7. Hey Everyone, so in preparing to start CRNA school I thought about doing some Chemistry and a Physiology course to try and get a good foundation prior to starting school I stumbled on this course. Has anyone taken it or known someone that took it? Here's the link to the information. http://www.sahp.vcu.edu/nrsa/programs/masters/pdfs/prep_course09.pdf
  8. Hey Guys, so the biggest worry for me is finding a good place to live for a reasonable amount of money. I've been looking on Craigslist, and Trulia. Any ideas about good areas to live in that are still cheap and relatively close to the school?
  9. I looked a little bit into it, including talking to a travel company. It doesn't sound like they pay the travel nurses very well around Naples. They were offering around $18 hr, and then about $12 hr for living costs. So rounded out to be about $30 an hour total. Which to me didn't seem to be that great. Is this what some of you travelers have earned, or should I expect more? Thanks everyone!
  10. Anyone else have experience shipping vehicles? U-pack?
  11. It would be nice to be with someone in the program from this neck of the woods. I work in SLC too. Which hospital do you work at?
  12. Good to know that maybe we need to move earlier rather than later. Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking about possibly trying to get a travel assignment somewhere nearby so I could try to find a place? Don't know if thats a good idea or not. Any of you guys ever done travel nursing?
  13. Hey RolexCRNA, Thanks for the words of encouragement. It really helps to know that if you are passionate and determined you can do anything.
  14. Hey Joker269MPCO, I would definitely love to get a house for my family as well, if it can be affordable. Thanks for the ideas with the trulia and zillow. I'll have to check those out. When did you interview? When are you planning on moving?
  15. Hi BSPRAGU, I interviewed in December. Did you just interview in January? If you interviewed you are probably definitely in. So be expecting good news soon. Congrats on the Kaiser interview, I've heard it is super competitive. Hope I'll see you in the fall.
