  1. I graduated 2011, from a school in the islands. I did the nclex 2016 and passed in 75 questions. You are at no great disadvantage. It is the work you put in and having faith. Use the ncsbn as you do each section practice as many questions you can on the same section. Then move on to another section. Use the uworld, nclex mastery and pda book for your questions. Then you do all the questions from ncsbn bank....i say this because the ncsbn bank the questions are not divided into sections so it can cause you to be all over the place. so do them last. You could get the kaplan strategy book and learn how to answer questions .....it really helped me. Ok all the best.....take like a three months to study.....dedicate the time to it ....all the best and trust in the almighty...he has already made the way...its jus for us to clear the path to it .....
  2. Alot of companies are still recruiting foreign nurses.........i know persons who recenlty were recruited from the caribbean. Here is a list of recruiting companies AVANT HEALTH CARE, MED PRO STAFFING, ADEX MEDICAL STAFFING. Google their info and call them to find out more. All the best. They are the best. Some of my friends from the cariibean recently came up from the caribbean who did the process with them
  3. Do you know anyone, you can do questions with and both of you dissect the questions, learning from each other. Ncsbn questions and uworld combined are two great banks.Using assessment vs implementation, using maslow, and ofcourse you have to know your content before applying strategies. In the exam talk to yourself in your own words .....Say, so if i have three patients,,,,one has bloody diarrhea with a diagnosis of ulcerative collitis, one has a pulse of 110, another has oz sat of 90 who is diagnosed with emphysema. Who will i see first?........awwwww....first you would have to know if bloody diarrhea is an expected finding of ulcerative colitis ....and yes it is ,,,so eliminate.....next is a low oz sat expected in emphysema? yes .....is apart of copd. so we left with pulse 110, does this patient need further assesment? ....yes ....notice no diagnosis was provided.....you would need to know the diagnosis..wat are some of the serious conditions that could indicate a high pulse ? shock. sepsis. etc.....so there you go ...that one strategy i used.....you can do it ..talk to your self for each question ....
  4. Correction to my post : my exam was on January 22,2016.....smile
  5. Avant is Ligit.....i know persons who are doing or who have done the process and are here in the usa working they are the best .......they will give you proper guidance and a smooth transition.
  6. Hello everyone i promised to write on here when i was successful.Ii am an international educated Nurse who graduated since 2011. I migrated here in the USA last year and took the boards February 22,2016. My exam cut off at 75 and i was done in 2hrs......i was so nervous i never knew what had happened as i am from a third world country and not use to the computer way of doing exams. I was told about the Pearsonvue trick, that i did and got the good pop up. Six days later my licence was in the mail box. Let me tell you my journey.I studied alone for the most part,i tried a study group but was not working for me becus i realise that we all were at different paces. It was overwhelming sometimes for me becus many thing were very new to me. The materials i used were saunders book as a reference, the ncsbn review, nclex mastery app, uworld, pda boook. I must say these combination is all you need to pass the exam, well all i needed. I write this for my international nurses who belive you cant ......you can...i did ......Trust in God he is your help.I have already landed a Job in Hospital, my very first interview .....God ir on your side and when you really need something and you work towards it....God is undercover working everything out so you will be ok........this i wanted to share.Thank to everyone who post on here, this is whwre i got alot of inspiration...God bless you and remember God with effort equals success.....and sucess is not a gift its a habit .....you can only be sucessful at something if you keep doing it, yearn for it, be obsesses with it , make it your air .....i was very obsesses with questions, until sometimes i dreamt about them......Take care ...
