  1. Awesome, I am so happy for you! Congratulations!! My top 3 choices were Neonatal ICU, PICU, and med-surg. Honestly, I'm not picky, I just want Children's! I just finished my digital interview this afternoon... My BP is still through the roof lol. I don't think anything can truly prepare one for a digital interview.. unless you are a vlogger on YouTube... I would much rather vibe off someone's energy. :) Good luck everyone!
  2. Hey everyone! I have all of my supplies for labs/clinicals, but I am stuck on what would be the best thing to carry them in. Does anyone have a specific brand of purse/bag/ANYTHING that has made their life easier? I was picturing maybe a cross-body bag, but what is best? Also - What other essentials should I add? I have a stethoscope, BP cuff, hammer, light, clipboard, and pens and sharpies all ready to go into a bag... should I get bandage scissors? Thanks ahead of time for your awesome advice
  3. All black. Murdered out :)
  4. Personally, I work at a tanning salon. All 3 companies I have worked for were always flexible with school, and in many ways it is a seasonal job. It will be slow for all of Fall semester pretty much, so they don't care if you work fewer hours. Spring will be busier, but they should be hiring more people for that season. I usually work full-time in Summer. I have also worked as a waitress, and they can be flexible too... but if you had school/clinicals all day, and then go in for your night shift, on your feet, and it's slammed, it becomes a really long day... Good luck finding the best job for you :)
  5. I have no idea. Personally, I was a transfer, with no ASU classes, and they used my transfer gpa. That worked out pretty well for me bc my transfer gpa at asu was higher than my old school. Good luck!
  6. That's a great idea!! I might do that as well. Is it a class that will be an elective that counts towards our major classes?
  7. Unless a nursing elective is available I don't have any prereqs left :/ so maybe I'll have to wait until fall anyway. I forgot about the 6 hours. I was only eligible for loans too. Dang
  8. Yes!! As long as I can get my financial aid situated in time. I didn't add AASU until a few weeks ago, so I don't know of they'll give me funds for summer :/. Is there only one class or multiple times to chose from?
  9. So who is taking patho this summer??
  10. I got my rejection letter Saturday :) congrats to everyone that got it!
  11. A few years ago there was a horrible glitch with the department mass-emailing the students. It ended up letting all recipients see who got in and who didn't. I think they send them one by one now to avoid that issue. So don't be discouraged yet! Give it a few days :)
  12. My friend applied to the accelerated program and got her email with a congratulations. The emails are still correct though, don't be confused that you haven't received your letter yet, it's all the same! Good luck everyone!!
  13. Thanks so much! I will definitely consider staying now.
  14. Do you know what we are going to be doing? Bc if there is a lot of walking I will opt for some flat shoes! I was going to fly as well, but it was going to cost too much for a one day round trip. Looks like i will be driving the 4 1/2 hours!! The hotels were pretty pricey for one night too, so I am coming right back after. It will be a long day for sure.
  15. F also sent some emails about lost TEAS scores, so everyone make sure you haven't missed that email. They had some trouble getting my scores, and I took my teas at kennesaw
  16. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll see you next week. What are you going to wear? Regular street clothes or business casual?
  17. Oh congrats!!! I am so happy for you!! So we will see each other on the 4th?
  18. Yes, nursing friends are a necessity! I'm about to join the group. I have seen a lot of Georgia Southern threads, but not many Armstrong ones.
  19. Hey everyone, I was accepted to the traditional program for this Fall, and I was hoping to get in contact with some future classmates! If you are doing your interview process, please chat too, I would love to get to know everyone. I'm currently in Atlanta, so I obviously have no friends haha. But seriously, I wish everyone luck on their interviews, and congrats to everyone who has already been accepted!! I am going to the advisement on the 4th. Will I see anyone there?
  20. Do you know if the accelerated program is harder to get in to than the traditional? I am sure they would be thrilled to welcome back alumni. At least I would think they would consider an Armstrong graduate over another. Or maybe that is nepotism? Congrats on getting back in to school though! I know it can be hard once you have already started a career and settled down a bit. How many semesters is the accelerated program vs. trad?
  21. I know it's hard to not over think things, but just stay positive :) I'm sure they are just told to not give info over the phone because it isn't "official", and it is probably a liability issue. I am currently in Atlanta, at Kennesaw State. My boyfriend got accepted to South University for his masters, so we are moving right after Spring finals. We are going to be living in southside. I'm pretty terrified of moving, but it will all be worth it. Do you go to Armstrong now?
  22. I am happy I found this thread! I can't find Armstrong people anywhere :) @Krstn157 have you heard anything definitive yet?? I hope you are in! I got my acceptance email on the 19th for the traditional program, and I am really excited to meet everyone at advisement. Assuming other people will be there, I am not really sure. Please let me know, I am wishing you luck!
  23. No, don't be skeptical! You'll do great! Have you called the nursing department to schedule your interview yet? I was wondering if they would do it before April 4th. P.M me with the details :) I am sure you are accepted, and maybe they just want to ask you some questions about your transcript?
  24. I was shocked at how fast BOTH Ga Southern and Armstrong sent out their letters! Luckily I didn't have to be disappointed about Ga Southern for too long because I got my email from Armstrong 4 or 5 days later. @ag6297 Have you heard anything since your last post? I got my acceptance through the email address I put on my application. You are supposed to put your Armstrong email, but I had to put my personal email due to some admissions issues. Otherwise, I think it should go to your Armstrong email? I haven't received the REAL letter yet!! Just the email. *Fingers crossed for you!!*
  25. Armstrong Atlantic accepted me! :) I can't believe how fast they sent the letters out! I am still even waiting for KSU, and KSU's deadline was 1 month before lol.
