  1. Congrats to everyone starting soon. I too just got my acceptance letter in the mail last week, after being put on the wait list a month earlier. I'm 36 and starting this fall. Now that I am about to start I am excited, but very nervous. In the back of my head I worry about our age when it comes to hiring because we'll being going up against 25 year old's, but then I remember that we have experience of life on our side. Or maybe I just tell myself this to make me fell better. Anyways congrats to everyone and good luck.
  2. I am taking A&P next semester, but I can let you know later. As far as tuition and books, the first semester is $2800 and books $950. But this is including A&P, and you've done this already. After I'm done the first semester I can let you know how it's going.
  3. Thanks. 3.44 GPA university.
  4. Great. I was worried I needed a C+, but you are right. September intake, I got declined at first, but they called me this morning to tell me I've been accepted.
  5. You GPA is great. I am sure you will get accepted. I just got my offer today, and I only had a 3.44 GPA. However, you might need to upgrade that anatomy course because I think you need at least a C+.
  6. I just got an offer from Kwantlen for the fall nursing program. I am so excited, and nervous about the upcoming four years. Good luck to the rest of you. P
  7. I found out recently that I was accepted at Douglas for the 1+3 structure last year when they changed there program. So I just need to do the four biology courses and I am done year one. Disappointed I didn't get into Kwantlen, but at least I know there is somewhere I can study to become a Rn. The only thing I am worried about is how hard the program is, it has 5 courses every term. Is anyone in the program, is it manageable? Thanks for any info. P
  8. I am. I applied for fall 2014, but got turned down. Hopefully the spring will bring better news. Good luck to all.
  9. I just got my rejection letter in the mail. It says you needed 3.50 for university students.
  10. What was your GPA when you got accepted to Kwantlen?
  11. That's crazy, if you graduated with honors and still can not get accepted and had 92% on the other courses, what are the chances for the rest of us.
  12. I've taken many, mostly business because I studied to be an accountant, but after many years I got bored. I've also recently taken psychology, biology, English, and health ethics. I'm working on anatomy next, and another english elective. I'm trying to get done as many as I can so when I get in a program it will make it easier.
  13. Yes, I am going to apply again. I heard from the educational adviser the GPA's that are needed are between 3.45-3.50 depending on the pool of applicants. I thought I had a chance of getting in since it was just one point below. I guess everyone was really competitive.
  14. University. Did you apply if so with what GPA and was it from university?
  15. university or highschool? Did you hear if you got in yet?
