Nursing Shortage!! It's real and it bites (new grads, can't find a job? Read this post!)
Thanks, I read your reply..if I could get a NICU position I would be elated, as I worked L&D and Nursery as medic in AF years ago and loved it, plus I was premie (700 gms). I know Postpartum and L&D are not a guy's domain as I was told in my clinicals. I cant PM due to not posting enough.. will check out hospital's site. Thanks!

Nursing Shortage!! It's real and it bites (new grads, can't find a job? Read this post!)
Hi Klone: I am looking at relocating back to Oregon after 25 years to be closer to our Son and his family. I graduate next week from my LPN-BSN program in Denver, and just finished 3 day Hurst Review today. Have ACLS, NIHSS and EMT. Looking for a new grad position in NICU, Adult Critical Care, Tele, or ER if possible. Where on the coast?, as we have been interested in that possibility as we will be purchasing. Thanks!

I am in same boat as residencies start in August and we may arrive in June. want ER or ICU /cardiac areas. Have been EMT for 37 yrs and sleep lab for 35. Thanks for info in advance.

Spring 2014
Unicbabe and LPN GADA (who I cant PM cause I'm new) I have q about CSM's. I studied like crazy for Maternal Child and missed by 1 question. I didnt recall hardly any of the questions from study guides. I hate spending the $600 for the TCN guide and it's probably the same deal. What materials do you recommend? They are requiring me to purchase it to re-take, and I cant fail it twice... I practice in a allied discipline and not active nursing. Just finished pre-reqs last spring with Chem, AP1&2, Micro, and have a BS in psych from 1988, so only need growth and development, pathophys and stats for other courses. Passed LPN NCLEX 3 yrs ago 1st try off of my Military experience and courses from 1980 and 81. Thanks, Bret
