  1. Which schools closed their psych track?
  2. I work inpatient psych. I round on 12 pts. (Including some intakes, generally), and usually have 1-3 consultations.
  3. Cullinary arts sounds great! It's important to follow your heart. If you hated every moment of being a nurse, the stress would eventually wear you down and lead to illness.
  4. What type NP are you? PMHNP Where (state)(rural/urban) do you practice? Vermont, Rurual Are you independent or in a group? Group How many years experience? 6 mos What is your before tax paycheck amount? Varies, 6500-7500 Monthly or bi-weekly? monthly Salary/hourly/other(explain)? hourly, at 50 per hour, plus 180 per night on-call Avg hours on check? about 39 per week What are the perks of your contract? (ie. PTO/vacation/bonuses) health insurance, retirement, no PTO or vacation. Flexible scheduling was a big perk here.
  5. Hello all, I am a psychiatric NP working inpatient psych in the rural Northeast. I was interested in hearing from others what their salary and benefit package is like. Also, what are you paid to be on-call? My organization is being taken over by another hospital system, so we will be getting new contracts. I may wish to negotiate for more benefits or pay... who wouldn't! Knowing what is out there will help a lot. Currently, I make $50 per hour with some benefits (health care). Thanks! Lovemyplants
