UCSD 2014 Summer New Grad Applicants
I interviewed for NICU. Did not receive a reference check email yet...hope that doesn't mean I am not being considered? Do you know if everyone gets a reference email, or only those still in consideration? That is awesome that you have received the email! When was your interview/how long after the interview did you receive the email? Thanks for the info! Good luck to you as well sassafrass44!!!

Loma Linda Peds RN Residency Summer 2014
I also applied to NICU & received an email that my application was forwarded to the appropriate manager. When I spoke with a recruiter they said it will take at least 3 weeks to go through all the applications, which means this week or longer. Don't get discouraged yet, it's still early :) Good luck to everyone who applied!

I know this an an old post but I am also out of state (~3,000 miles away from SD) so am seeking some advice from you db2xs! Would you mind sharing if you had any certifications prior to applying (BLS, ACLS, etc.)? Thank you for your help!

UCSD New Grad (FMCC/NICU/Perinatal Program) 2013
Hello everyone, I'm new to the thread. I am applying for the Summer 2014 UCSD program (L & D or NICU track) and was interested in knowing if anyone who was hired had any special certifications or classes that were required for the position/applying? Or any advice about the application process in general? Thank you for any information that you can offer!

RN program in AZ but want to take NCLEX in CA
Thank you for your response JustBeachyNurse. Yes I looked at the application on the CA BRN website and it clearly states that degree needs to be posted for CA graduates but has no mention of degree for out of state graduates. I have been trying to call CA BRN for weeks now but keep getting the "we have a high volume of calls try again later." My school says it takes about 3 weeks to have degree posted to transcripts...does this mean that I can't even apply for my ATT until 3 weeks after I graduate? I am hoping to take my test by 3-4 weeks after graduation. Thank you again for taking the time to reply to my posts. This is such a stressful situation and any help that you have to offer is greatly appreciated!

RN program in AZ but want to take NCLEX in CA
kn_absn, I am in the same situation trying to get CA license but getting my nursing degree out-of-state. Did your nursing degree have to be posted to your transcript when you sent it? And did you have to send in all of your transcripts that were "college credit" or just your nursing school (I am doing a 2nd degree accelerated program)? I have been trying to get a hold of the CA BRN but keep getting a busy message. Thank you for your help!

BSN from school in a different state, applying for CA license
I will finish an accelerated BSN from an accredited program in May 2014 but want to apply for a CA license only. I have tried to contact the CA BRN but always get a busy message "try your call again later." I am wondering if you need your degree posted to your transcript before you can apply (the website explicitly says so for CA graduates but does not make it clear for our of state graduates)?? Also wondering how early before graduation I should apply to BRN?? Thank you for your help!
