  1. Anyone know when we will hear back? Also, does HR call or email offers?
  2. Hiiiii RNs & future RNs, Anyone take NCLEX today?! I freaked out when my computer shut off at 75 but I'm hoping for the best. I'm in CA, so I have no idea when I'll find out about my results. I'm thinking 48-72 hours?
  3. Hi future & fellow RNs, I'm approaching my senior year of nursing school and soon enough I have to give my top three choices for where I want to be placed for capstone (aka where I will put in the most hours & where I potentially want to work once I graduate). I feel so lost though. Throughout my past two years, I have kept such an open heart and mind hoping that a specialty would stand out to me but it hasn't. I greatly enjoyed step-down ICU and oncology, but I've also never gotten to experience the ER, ICU, or OR. From an RN perspective, what do you all think? Did you end up working in a similar unit as your capstone after graduation? Where can I fine-tune and practice my skills? (I guess that can be done anywhere depending on where I want to specialize). Any advice or guidance is great appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi Nursing World, I was recently admitted to University of San Francisco's nursing program which is a total of three years starting in January. In the process of applying to nursing school, I was able to finish another bachelor's degree in Health Education. With the program right around the corner, I am getting cold feet. My H ED degree is almost complete and I am wondering if I should take the opportunity that is present in front of me (which is another BSN) or take my chances, wait a few months and apply to entry level MSN programs. I would appreciate for those that have experienced these different programs to give me some type of guidance. I am torn and don't know what I should do! Thanks in advance!
  5. @Haileyxo yes I currently have physio lab and lecture in progress
  6. Don't worry @w3st I'm confused as well. So if you've already taken all the prereqs then you need to enroll in at least one unit to save your spot. I don't think there are any other nursing classes to take before clinicals. I'm going to try to set up a meeting with a counselor because I'm still a student at sfsu working on my Health Education degree.
  7. @Jc90 yes I just responded!
  8. W3st, I was worried about the same thing. I hope I get the letter in the mail today so I know it's real. Fingers crossed!
  9. When I called yesterday they told me that all the decisions haven't been made. Don't give up everyone! As for my last name and stats, my name starts with a P, my GPA is a 3.7, 2 letters of recommendation, volunteer work at a hospital, and 3 years of student government in college.
  10. Yes Jc mine says the same thing. We should exchange contact information in a personal message! I also live in SF currently.
  11. Me too! Congrats Jc! Also, good luck to everyone still waiting. All decisions have not yet been sent out!
  12. Lizz I received my rejection letter yesterday afternoon. Best of luck to you, I have my fingers crossed that you'll get off the wait list. As for the rest of you, good luck!! Kick ass in the program! Maybe we will cross paths in the future.
  13. Karentran I applied through the common app and they emailed me today randomly with a username/passord. Call the admissions office and they will give you that information to log in.
  14. Yes I received that email as well. It doesn't say anything about my application status besides my basic info and when they received my required documents.
  15. I'm contemplating visiting the campus tomorrow but I don't know if that will be beneficial. There's not much we can do.
