  1. Level 1 was a challenge. Test questions will be unlike the material you studied. Nursing school is so different than any other science class where you memorize the material. All test and quiz questions are in depth thinking problems. I would recommend going to the workshops they have before you start school. They will teach you the math part which will help because we don't get much time to learn it. The book fundamentals success from Barnes and nobles will help. Questions will be different but helps you practice the type of questions they ask on tests. Good luck!
  2. No they do not take off for retaking a class. I retook one at university of Phoenix to get a higher gpa.
  3. Oops wasn't finished. If you just apply they say you still have to get in through spc and nerd the high gpa. The advisors told me I wouldn't get in but I did so don't listen to them
  4. Spring is easier to get into than fall. I got in with a 3.6 gpa. I don't think they let you retake classes anymore I retook one at the University of Phoenix online it's expensive but worth it. I live in St pete and I know they take pinellas residence first but people in my class live pretty far and they got in. My friend works for baycare and she applied for eayl anf if you work there for 6 months you can get in without a great gpa however if you just apply to eayl
  5. Hi everyone I just finished level 1. Clinicals started about 2 months in. I bought my books in the package at the book store but my friend saved money and bought them online. I also bought the epackage which was a waste of money. I'm in the baycare system for clinicals and we were at St anthonys for level 1. I had serious problems with my clinical instructor but many complaints were made so I hope none of you will have to have her.
  6. Hi everyone I just finished level 1. I live in St pete. My gpa was a 3.6 I heard it needed to be higher but I also heard it was easier to get into spring then fall. Also know that of you sign up for day classes you do not go to school over summer however night classes do. I'm in day classes and didn't know that when I signed up.
  7. cool, thanks! I'll be sure to get that.
  8. Thank you for your advice! What level are you on or did you already graduate? What Physio/pathology book did you find helpful? I already bought the book package. Where is everyone doing their clinicals at? I'm at St. Anthonys
  9. I got CPR certified at southern technical institute formerly known as Florida medical prep on 66th st. I dont remember how much it cost but it was reasonable.
  10. Yes, mine also says it is incomplete because it has to be approved.
  11. Glad to hear from others getting accepted! I got my fingerprints done a few days ago and taking the drug test today.
  12. Hi! I also got accepted to start in January! I am super excited but getting nervous! Have you started your background check/ drug screening?
