I freeze up when the big traumas/CPRs come in
I am also a new grad in a level I trauma center. I just finished orientation. 2 months ahead of schedule. I was lucky though, my preceptor was wonderful. We spent the first couple of hours stocking the trauma bays, which at the time I thought was very trivial. But when that first good juicy trauma rolled in, I was grabbing things quickly because I had stocked it all. As far as the whole experience, attitude is everything. You managed to graduate, the rest will come. I had a senior nurse tell me to think about everything that could be wrong with my patient before they roll in. And the trauma surgeons, don't mind their yelling half of them are as wet behind the ears as we are. You can only do one thing at a time. I would have atalk with my nurse manager about my preceptor sounds like he just is not a teacher. Good luck.

ER Dept Scrub Color
In my hospital, we have to wear navy blue. No prints or anything, just navy blue. We have had positive comments from our patients and visitors. It is easy to tell who is family in the ER

NCLEX Blues
Took mine a couple of weeks ago. had 135 questions and passed. do not lose hope. I felt like a bumbling idiot when I left. I thought I had made a really bad career choice. It will all work out. I also live in a state that doesn't do early results. I feel your pain!!!! :)

No calcuation questions on NCLEX, help!
Saw your post from last July. Mine shut off at 136 as well. Did you pass. I am frantic. And of course I would be from one of the states you can't get a quick result.

NCLEX RN today. I must be really dumb.
I took the NCLEX on Wednsday. It gave me 135 questions. I was so upset, I walked out in tears. Mine was all peds and management type stuff. Only 2 pharm questions which is my best area. I have no idea how I did. Everyone at work says that I am fine, who really knows. Feeling like an idiot in Tennessee!!!

The NCLEX
Thanks for the support. I guess I thought that I would be one of those people that the computer shuts off at 75. I always did well on the standardized tests. We will see. I think I got the last several right, hopefully that is a good sign.

The NCLEX
Someone please offer me a little light on the subject. I just finished and it shut off at 135. All i have heard for the last week is , 75 is the key number. I felt much better than that going in.
