  1. 88.6% was my lowest score. If you get below an 80 on any test in my program u have to stay at school an hour longer per day to study and if u don't your kicked out.

My schools failing grade is below an 80% and no rounding of any kind! If you have a 79.9 your kicked out with no more chances! Also tests have to be higher than that! Anyone else have a school like this? I'm not complaining about it just venting! It's do able but difficult
  4. Well I had to do a loan exit counseling and they told me the payments would be 175 a month starting out and go up to 300 a month after like 5 years I think. Right now I'm paying interest while in school I'm looking at 35k after my lpn then I'm not taking anymore out! There are several payment methods to choose from. I choose the one that starts low then goes up eventually.
  5. Ive got about 30 k in debt as well. I just finished my assoc. degree and now I'm having to go straight to lpn school to pay off what I owe. I didn't have a choice I had to take out loans due to having a daughter and I could only work part time. I would do lpn first if possible! I plan on paying out of pocket for my rn online courses. You can do it though! Don't quite school! My payments for my loans are not that bad, however at 130 k they would be! My mother n law is a np and just graduated with 95,000 in debt. She makes enough that she can pay her loans just fine but not everyone can. Try and look at the big picture!
  6. I deleted my fb as well! It was really hard but I was sick of the drama and school comes first!
  7. Critical thinking is hard for me to. I am just going into the lpn program so I can't offer advice yet. All I can say is you can do this! You have made it this far! Maybe try a new way to study this time around. I know having a family and being a student is hard! I'm married with a two year old and I just no I will have limited time to study! But if there is a will there is a way!
  8. I just have a normal backpack however I'm considering using a rolling backpack idk yet I need advice to
  9. I'm in the program full time. 9 hours a day 4-5 days a week! I'm nervous I've never had to study before! And yes my school has the nclex book! I've already looked through it some!
  10. How much do you study each day? Any good study tips?

Wow! That sounds like my drive. I'm so nervous driving that far I don't like to be late to anything and my school is strict about that! This winter is going to be hard on me,

Lucky! My hour drive consists of trees and farm land! Lol no trains or cities

How far does everyone drive? My school is an hour away from my house!
  14. Yes great idea! I live an Hour away and I'm not familiar with the area so scoping it out first will help a lot!
  15. Thank you everyone for the input! Hopefully I'll be able to carpool I'm terrible at finding places!
  16. How do clinicals work? Will we all drive separately or carpool or what? This is all new to me lol I need input
  17. Lpns where I live still work in hospitals and the jobs here are good! Plus I already have an associates degree and the thought of going back to school for 4 years is insane! I have a two year old and run my own farm! I travel an hour to my lpn school but I'm looking forward bridging over online once I'm out!
  18. I got a c in anatomy and I got accepted into nursing school. Each school is different but it's possible don't give up!
  19. So I got accepted into the lpn nursing program!! When I applied I didn't think I would make the cut but somehow I did! I am nervous about the program and I wold love to hear some advice on what to be prepared for. What was the first few weeks like? Did you find it hard to keep up with the material? Anything I should study before hand?
  20. I know what your going through! I have a 2 year old and I find it hard to study and potty train at the same time. Also I work throughout the week as well. I just got accepted into nursing school and I'm very nervous. I do not study hardly at all right now. I just finished my associates degree and I have never studied at all. I'm afraid I won't know how when I start my program this January
  21. I know what your saying. My gpa is around that and I just got accepted into a lpn nursing school.i was worried I'd never get in. Look into schools that only look at teas v tests. That's how I got In. I have a low gpa but scored high on the test so I was accepted. Maybe look into lpn courses then bridge over. You can do it!
