I got my alternate status email on May 16th at 9:30am

Do you know when the last day to register for classes is (ie: people have to secure their spot)?

I am holding my breath! A friend of mine last year accepted both PCC and GCC and gave up her spot at PCC the day of orientation. I'm really hoping others do the same!

We didn't get an end date this time. The email said nothing about when it expires. Good luck to you! I hope you get in this time!

I talked to a friend today who goes to GCC and she said that she went to both GCC and PCC's orientation before she made up her mind which school to attend. So I guess its possible that we will get called after the orientation.

Urgh, that is depressing! PCC is the only school I applied to so I am just waiting...But I have 2 kids and have to plan ahead for daycare coverage so I won't be able to accept a position in August. It just doesn't give me enough time to get things in order. I guess we still have a chance though...

I was emailed on 5/16 at 9:30am so probably same as you! I hope we are first up on the list! And so annoying to not give us a deadline. Did you notice that in previous semesters (based on the info on prior threads) that they gave deadlines for the alternates to be notified. This year they didn't so not sure what that is about...

What did she say? I just want to know if they have started letting alternates know. Obviously from this thread 3-5 people have turned down their spot so I just want to know if any alternates have been notified.

Maybe? I took mine back in early May though and it seems like quite a few people are not accepting their spot at PCC. The waiting is getting old :/

Seems odd that alternates wouldn't be notified til late June/early July considering that those accepted had to give their notice by Monday.

I got an alternate email early Friday morning and haven't heard anything since.

My email just said I was an alternate - No number given.
