  1. No, they had one every three months now...however they don't have date for the next yet...you can check it on their website... I went to the last one... they are not hiring at this moment, at least that is what the HR lady said...the open house it is just for future opening...I'm also a new grad trying to find a job in Miami...good luck everyone!!!!
  2. I know it is not easy do a job that you don't like, but as obesity33 said, try to do something that fill that part of you that want to be around children…think that this is a necessary job that you have to do to be in the NICU in the future just like part of nursing school…also, think how lucky you are that you have a job…tons of new grad (counting myself) are more that frustrated trying to find that necessary part that you already have in order to be one day in our dreamy job…just be patient…before you even think about it, the full year will be gone...good luck :)
  3. I understand you better of what you can imagine, we are in the same boat....I graduated on May this year, ADN, got my license on July, more than a 100 applications in hospitals, rehab centers, clinics, doctor's office, LTC, hospice, dialysis, etc...and I'm still waiting for a call...here in south Florida it is very hard almost impossible to find an RN new grad position in a hospital...it is not what you know...it is who you knows...it is very depressing and sometimes I feel like all the hard job that I did during my nursing school to graduate with high honors is useless, I was accepted to begin my BSN on January...in the meantime I will get a cashier or waitress job while I work in my BSN, but I will continue applying in every single place that have an RN open position, hopefully some day I will get an opportunity!!
