Yes I did study for the psb. There is another forum where I and some others talked about it if you search upmc saint margaret you should find it. This is the first semester so I am not sure how all the others will look but if you have your pre-reqs done you would have class 8-11 m-th and clinical 7-1 fridays.

I find it interesting that there are not many Saint Margaret SON students on here that are starting this fall. Do you know anything about orientation on Sept 2? I am hoping we get something in the mail this week. I have to take A&P and am supposed to have class at Chatham that afternoon...but they said we would have an orientation there too...Two weeks away and I have my class schedule but am still confused about the actual start date (a long time ago I read the 5th but that is a Friday and clinical day) and orientations.

I was called. She said if it's been more than 5 years you have to retake them. Mine was 8 years ago. I thought I might have to retake it was just hoping.

My English is too old to transfer...oh well

That is good. Your load will be lighter. A&P are huge to have out of the way. You will be fine. I am just curious to see the age demographic of our class. Thought I may be the only "older" one:)

We will make it! Do you have any classes out of the way? Just out of curiosity how old are you? I have English done if they accept it and i am 28.

Nice to see someone else on here! I am not planning on working, but do have a family. Hopefully it all works out for me not to work. The shorter program will help with that. I'm not sure if the semesters will be more intense or if they just cut out a lot of time between semesters. I like only having a week off. Enough time to catch our breath yet not get out of school mode.

Hey! Did anyone else receive the packet in the mail? I can't believe the program is only 16 months now! So many mixed emotions but all in all I think it's great and I am excited. I can't wait to see people on the 26th of June at the pre-admissions meeting! It is getting so close.

I am not sure what you mean. An average gpa but good SAT score and essay? I have been out of school awhile. I had to take the psb exam. If you are concerned your SAT score is not good enough you could take the psb. Are you trying to start this fall?

Has anyone tried the Dansko Enya Clog? I think it looks better than the professional clog and not as heavy. I want to try it but am curious to see if others like it.

Sorry things have been busy, I wanted to get back to you sooner. Hopefully you read some of the earlier post and figured it out. I studied but mostly just the science section. I went over math to brush up and did some sample reading comprehensions. It is basic biology and chemistry. Reading comprehension. A spelling section that sucked! Gives 3 ways to spell a word you most likely you have never even heard the word before. If you go to the psb website it has a sample test...it gives you a few sample questions from each section. I was accepted to UPMC Saint Margaret for September 2014! I am so excited. I turned in my acceptance of my acceptance.

I was in the high category for all but spelling and just below high for reading. I have always been horrible at reading comprehension tests. I don't have them with me for exacts. I don't care about my scores just that I passed. I don't know when the school mailed them. I got my results Saturday and I took my test a day before you so hopefully today you will get them.

I got my results yesterday and I passed! Sending in my application tomorrow!

They provided scrap paper. The science section was not as bad as I expected. If you studied at all you will be fine.

I just took the Saint Margaret PSB today. It was not horrible. Except the spelling. Some say it doesn't count, I sure hope not! I just hope I passed!

Hey! Just wanted to let you know I didn't think the test was horrible, minus the spelling section. Some people say that part doesn't count but I am not sure. I am hopeful, but don't want to be too hopeful. Let me know how you think it was. Good Luck Tomorrow! Also I asked the testing lady about finishing all sections. She said that you are not expected to finish the sections. So don't worry about that.

I am using ACRO Nursing School and the Allied Health Entrance Exams. I hope its not as hard!

I am only concerned about the biology/chemistry section too. It has been 10 years since I have taken either. I am signed up for Biology at CCAC for the Spring, but am only taking it as a fall back to UPMC. I hope to be able to drop the class before it starts. My test is Wednesday at the St. Margaret campus. No, I have not taken it before. Have you? I am a little nervous. I have been studying and have one book, but it is hard to know what to really study.
