  1. Don't ever think about quitting or feeling like you're dumb or not good enough for the job. You made it through nursing school right and that is not easy so you belong there. Everyone makes mistake. Just keep pushing on. They hired you for a reason and you show them that they made the right choice.
  2. I was telling my Co-workers the same thing. Im a CNA and that job is killing my body so I'm currently in school to become an LPN. I take the ATI on June 1st but anyway I now know I do not want to be an RN but I want my bachelors in health services administration. Doing management, running the nursing home etc. The background work. I'm 38 now Im tellingnmy workers when I'm 50 I do not want to be lifting patients etc. I will be too old. Always have a back up plan.
  3. Yes it was very hard.I've been a Can for 1 year and 8 months and it took me 6months to get use to the things. Everyday I wanted to quit. I had to go part time which made it easier.
  4. In new York where I work as a cna the lpns make $23 an hour. They pushing pills and changing dressings.
  5. All these simple mistakes it sounds like you are very uncomfortable at your job and very nervous. When you are nervous you start to make mistakes especially when you feel like some one doesn't like you like the daughter. You need to remind yourself that you can do it. You got certified right so you know you are properly trained. Don't be so hard on yourself
  6. Im in a lpn program righr now second semester and lpn's are no longer in the hospitals but they are in the nursing homes. i decided to do lpn first cause i am a cna right now and my job hiries lpns with no experience. so i can start working on my rn. go for it! LPNs are going to be in nursing homes for a very long time and clinics.
