  1. Up until last year ND only offered BSN programs and you had to have a BSN or prove that you were working towards a BSN if you were an ADN that moved here. Our great NDNA and legislature thought that they would "help" solve the nursing shortage if they allowed ADN programs. I personally think it was a step backwards for our state that was the only one to require a BSN. Nursing is a profession-not a technical career. While other health care professions such as PT and OT are moving towards a mandatory masters degree nursing takes a step back.
  2. Would you mind sharing that list with me? I have ePocrates loaded on mine but not much else and would like to get more use out of it. I work in the OR and think it would be very helpful.
  3. We use Sorbitol Mannitol IV while doing the TURP and then use H2O when using the evacuator to get the tissue out
  4. :) I just took my NCLEX a year ago. I had about the same % on practice tests. I also answered about 3,000 questions out of Mosby's book and it only took me the minimum 75 questions to pass. Mosby's is a hard book but worth it. :)
  5. Many of the nurses I work with including myself have started wearing Crocs. They are not leather in fact I have no idea what they are made of-they are like clogs but with a heel strap. Extremely light, many colors, side vent holes, wide width. I found mine a vickerey.com for $50.
  6. 95% of the time the circulating RN preps our patients. We also work very closely with our techs and they all are able to help prep bilateral limbs, etc. if needed
