NCLEX study techniques
What are some good books or study resources for the NCLEX exam? I have been to Barnes and Noble, and they have a good selection of books. I was just wondering if there are any recommended resources from someone who has already taken the exam..is there anything that you can say was really helpful to you?

NCLEX-RN - Don't Give Up!
I am currently in my first semester of the nursing program. From day 1, we have been told that we need to complete at least 100 NCLEX study questions a week if we want to pass the NCLEX in the future. Your post was very helpful. Not everyone can pass the first time around, and that is ok. There is a reason that it is offered to be retaken. Your hints are very helpful, and I will keep them in mind when I have to take the NCLEX in a couple years.

CNA without experience
I recently recieved my CNA license. I believe a hospital environment would be the place I could learn the most and possibly apply some of what I have been taught in nursing school so far. Most hospital job opportunities I have come across require at least a year of experience, which would be in a longterm care facility. I just want to know if anyone has started out in a hospital as a CNA, or if anyone recommends starting off in long term care. I look forward to hearing your answers!

Pre nursing student gpa good enough in 2013?!
Most university's have a nursing program manual in which the entrance requirements are listed. It depends on the college or university. My university's requirements was a 2.5 gpa to get in, and you must have passed all of the nursing pre-reqs to get in. My advice is to just look up your school's nursing student manual.
