  1. You hit the nail on the head & I love this reply. I was just trying to make some sense of it since the bloated abdomen seemed odd. My patient was the type to keep health issues quiet, not go to the doctor & not take medicine as prescribed. There is no telling what the cause of death was & we really will never know. I feel bad for my patient’s family. From what I heard it was fast, so that is the best thing. Thank you all for your wisdom & input. ETA: They did call 911 & they tried to revive my patient but it was unsuccessful.
  2. No, I was working for a family & I stopped by to pay my condolences. I wasn’t there when everything happened so I was asking questions to gain clarification.
  3. I spoke to the family & she bled out of her nose & had bleeding in her lungs. They are not doing an autopsy because it would cost too much so it would all be a guess at this point.
  4. That makes a lot of sense. I just couldn’t place my finger on it.
  5. Hiiiii!!!! I’ve been super busy with life. My oldest son has ADHD & ODD. My youngest has Autism. Never a dull moment for me. I thought briefly it might be a PE. I just didn’t know if it would cause the bloating.
  6. What would cause bloating prior to death? I tried to look up this answer on Google but I can’t find an exact answer. Patient was at home, said didn’t feel well & then a family member told me that the pt.’s abdominal area was swollen. I don’t know what made the abdominal area swollen. Was it gas? Was it liquid? What would cause the pt. to fall down so suddenly & die? The pt. had been to the doctor prior for illness & they gave her antibiotics. I am just at a loss because it happened so suddenly & unexpectedly.
  7. No, it *my* doctor & I didn’t have my kids with me. Yeah, I have since switched to a lovely NP that doesn’t have anyone that calls me “mom”. ?
  8. Awesome, thank you so much!
  9. Unfortunately, I do not have a previous Bachelor's degree. Thank you though!
  10. I don't know if you're religious. If you are I'll pray for you, if you aren't I'll cross my appendages for you.
  11. Wow! A 92 on the HESI in A&P? Impressive!!!
  12. Can anyone recommend a college that offers a 4 credit micro with lab, preferably in Texas? Thanks!
  13. First off, why don't you mind your own business? Second, if you've never been pregnant you have no idea what it's like. Third, you've never met EVERY pregnant woman so you can't speak. Fourth, are you even really a nurse??? After you made that comment you have me very concerned.
  14. Yeah they are! But she said *I* was the crazy one. Really? I'm not threatening to beat up a stranger over a Facebook post. But, okay! Lol.
  15. I have a Macbook Pro and don't utilize everything on it but I will never buy another PC again in my life!
  16. I would report HER to the BON. What she did was illegal & unprofessional! There is no reason to call her back but I love the advice Liscar130 gave!
  17. Corrections. I tried the hospital & hated it with every fiber of my being.
  18. LMAO! Do you know what's funny? I just had drama the last night! I commented on someone's post about how I never had bad service in that particular movie theater. I went on from there saying, "Well since I wasn't there, I don't know what happened and there are 3 sides to every story (his/her's/the truth) so I can't take anyone's side but I'm sorry that happened to you". This girl FLIPPED OUT! She lost it and threatened to beat me up all over a Facebook post. Apparently she's friends with someone my brother knows and my brother gets pissed off with me about it. LOL! I was laughing the whole time because this immature brat is trying to be tough all over a FACEBOOK post! lol! People who don't have a life.
  19. It wasn't *my* program. Just one I saw someone peddling online. I always do *tons* of research before applying to a nursing program.
  20. I wish I could love this post. People think America is so great and I could go on a rant for days about how horrible America sucks. But that is a different topic for a different time.
  21. LOL! $80,000?!?!? Can he send some money my way? I accept PayPal, Venmo..... LOL!
  22. I completely agree with you. I think it should be like that over here. If you have a valid license you should be able to practice in any state. I don't understand why they let for profit schools exist in education.
  23. lol. Some of them were. But I can see what you're saying, how do I know *for sure*.
