  1. How do you, as case manager, reconcile a social worker's need to deal with facility transfers? Hmm. Souinds to me the social workers are doing case management.
  2. I'm just saying...Been there, and done that.
  3. But newsflash, anotherone- most doctors and dentists are egocentric and frigid, so I'd suggest aiming only on the money, and don't expect much more that that?
  4. "As long as men look at me that way? I'm earning my keep". -Betty Draper, from MadMen
  5. I'll clarify , rather I find a man with eyeglasses endearing, possible a little vulnerable, even? Aside from that any optical shop can make eyeglasses with clear glass lenses- people use them as props for many reasons.
  6. And the problem of 'zero tolerance' is that we are humans, with all the trials, and tribulations of what that invloves- even to those that feel they are 'as pure as the driven snow'? Zero tolerance is an awfully ugly two word phrase.
  7. Often people are paid a premium for wekends. Even not- to punsih them for calling 'off' (why call it calling in, when they are calling off work?) or fire them sure seems like a strange way to deal with the matter, since you'd have fewer people on the weekdns, meaning more call offs, and more firings, and...well.
  8. Bad check charges are suprisingly serious, criminal offense- anyone that can't add or reconcile a checkbook can be charged with a crime- even though in most cases it was unitinded to defraud anyone. Never say never.
  9. Not to mention the fact that more people are arrested every day, aside from those that recommit? But aside from that- a reduction of 8% seems to me a logical JOB reduction of 8%, at the same time california is trying to comply with an order to increase medical care to inmates/ Insanity.
  10. Nice attitude towards a fellow nurse. Small wonder nursing will always be considred an unprofessional carreer, mainly taken up by women that can't do anything better. Not to mention there may not be a full time job available for her, or that by having access to a per diem nurse may be the only reason you are allowed off to attend a funeral, get your teeth fixed, ot whatever? Shameful and arrogant. I'm embrassed, really.
  11. Calfornia was ordered to further reduce the inmate population by 8%, even if it means waiving local and state laws. The gov. says there are not enough non dangerous people eligible to be released. That said, that would mean that no further people can be arrested, because they prisons already have too many inmates? Interested to see how they try to reconcile that issue. I would also assume that a relevant number of nurses, etc. will also lose their jobs?
