Well I started on Wednesday morning with 2 classes and then a 4 hour nursing program orientation taking place of my third class. My classes are Health Assessment, Pathopharmacology (pathopsygiology & pharmacology together as one class), and of coursing Fundamentals of Nursing. I have a total of 14 books for my first semester which weigh over 40 pounds! Ouch!! And this weekend I have to read a total of 13 chapters before Monday at 8am!! We have out first exam in pathopharmacology on this coming Friday 8/30!! Whew! The reading was pretty simple for health assessment, but I'm currently doing the reading in my pathophysiology book and I'm wanting to pull my hair out and scream! Lol. It's long, wordy, and boring!! But I'm plugging away at it! We have out first lab/clinicals this Tuesday and Thursday but don't go off campus for a few weeks yet. That's about it so far!! Now back to reading for me!!

I am getting so anxious and I know that I should not worry. Reading some of this thread has given me highs and lows, but I give it to GOD! He will make a way!! I am in Illinois, EFC of 0, GPA 3.47, have an associates degree of science and entering my Junior year for my BSN. I have not had a credit check yet as far as I can tell but my application status is under review. Praying for great things! As I really am struggling to get all of the supplies before my first day of school which is August 21! Congrats to all of the people who have been notified!!

Hey sealford! If you don't mind me asking where are you going to school? My first day is August 21 as well! Never mind I see now. Good luck! I start my program with an orientation on August 21st. I have my schedule and almost all of my vaccinations/background check/drug test turned in. My books come in a package from the school for $680. On Amazon the total came to almost $800 so for the first time ever it is cheaper to get them from school. I am having troubles finding white scrub pants that are not see thru. I hate the idea of my pants being see thru. If anybody has found any that are thicker please let me know! GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!! :)

I purchased a pair of Nike Muzios. They are mostly white with a silver Nike swoosh (accepted by my nursing program). They are super comfortable....as are Nike Air Max Limitless & most Nike sneakers.
