Hi Kayaynurse, Do you know anything about Brandon Hospital? I recently bought a house in Valrico and will be spending part of each year there. What kind of working enviornment, what specialty's, etc. Also, what are the wages range, i.e. for RN with 25 + yrs experience. Thanks

Hi all of you Buckeyes! I was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from ACH school of nursing, way back in the 70's (which means, I've been nursing a looooong time)Anyone else out there graduate from ACH? I'm in Ca. and have been for maaaaany years. Would love to hear from anyone that went to ACH. Also, any Buckeyes now living in Ca.:balloons:

Hi, I was born and raised in Ohio but have live in central California since just after graduating from Akron City Hospital School of Nursing in Dec 1979 (now closed) and I think the hospital is now named something else. I really got a kick out of the post "You might be from Ohio If" It did bring back some memories. If anyone else graduated from Akron City Hospital I'd love to hear from them.:kiss:yelclap: I recently rec. a catalog that my cousin had saved from 1979- 1980. I'm diploma educted and wouldn't trade that experience for any thing! Thank the Lord that the program was available to me otherwise I wouldn't be a nurse. I later went on to obtain BS in Health Sciences. As, professionals we are learning everyday. Life is an ongoing education.

I would like to see massage offered, especially during or after a 12hr shift. Just the shoulders and back. Some of those other ideas sound pretty good. After working at my hospital for 20 plus years, I finally am off every Sunday, :rotfl: work every other Sat. All staff nurses work every other weekend up thru 20 years senority. And then can cut down when staffing allows. Also, I've been able to do combo 8hrs and 12 hrs.
